Aroldis Chapman RP | BOS
Yankees' Aroldis Chapman: Records two-out save versus Tigers
Chapman retired both batters he faced with one strikeout to earn his 13th save of the season Monday against the Tigers.
Chapman was called upon with a five-run lead, but the bases were loaded with one out in the ninth. He gave up a run-scoring groundout to Mikie Mahtook and was able to strike out James McCann to end the trreat. Chapman has now been charged with just one earned run over his last 9.2 innings, gathering five saves and two wins during that stretch, so he looks to be in top form as the season heads into August.

Matt Andriese RP | MIA
Rays' Matt Andriese: Successful throwing session Monday
Andriese (hip) threw 37 pitches off the mound at Tropicana Field on Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
If he continues without setbacks, Andriese is likely to start a rehab assignment by the end of next week. The 27-year-old right-hander was moved to the 60-day DL back on June 17, but he finally appears to be nearing a return to game action.

Michael Fulmer RP | NYY
Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Allows six earned runs in loss to Yankees
Fulmer (10-9) allowed seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and three walks across six innings in Monday's loss to the Yankees. He struck out five.
Fulmer pitched well through the early stages, but he allowed four runs on two hits and two walks after an error in the fourth inning. Aaron Judge followed with a home run in the fifth, then the Yankees chased the right-hander from the game with a two-run rally to begin the seventh. He got behind with regularity in this one, throwing just 14 first-pitch strikes to 30 batters, and Fulmer's pitch selection became predictable as a result. Fulmer has struggled to the tune of 14 earned runs over his last 16.2 innings and will look to get back on track Saturday against the Orioles.

Kendall Graveman RP | ARI
Athletics' Kendall Graveman: To return Thursday against San Francisco
Graveman (shoulder) will start Thursday against the Giants, Joe Stiglich of NBC Sports California
With Sonny Gray gone, the Athletics have an opening for Graveman in their upcoming interleague series against their Bay Area rivals. Graveman owns a 3.83 ERA and 1.28 WHIP through eight starts this year; both would be the best of his young MLB career. He was also flashing a career best 93.8 mph average fastball velocity before being hurt, and with Graveman coming off an extended absence, owners should keep an eye on the radar gun in his first start back.

Nick Martinez SP | TB
Rangers' Nick Martinez: Recalled from Triple-A, likely to start Tuesday
Martinez was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, indicating he will likely start Tuesday's game against the Mariners.
Yu Darvish was dished to the Dodgers in a deadline deal, opening up a spot for Martinez to rejoin the major-league rotation for the time being. It's unclear whether he'll take more than one turn in the rotation; that could ultimately depend on the status of A.J. Griffin (oblique). Martinez compiled a 4.79 ERA and an unimpressive 32:15 K:BB in 11 starts (62 innings) this season before he was sent back to the minors, so it wouldn't be wise to expect much for fantasy purposes.

Bo Schultz RP | PIT
Blue Jays' Bo Schultz: Makes first throws since TJ
Schultz (elbow) threw for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery in March, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
This is good progress for Schultz, who underwent the procedure on March 29. He won't be able to appear in a game until next season, but it appears that he's still on schedule with his rehab program.
-
Danny Barnes RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Danny Barnes: Back to throwing
Barnes (shoulder) felt good after throwing a side session Sunday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Barnes landed on the disabled list July 25, so it's a very good sign that he's already back to throwing. It's unclear whether he'll be ready to return right when he's eligible on Friday, although it seems like he won't be out for too much longer.

Taylor Rogers RP | MIN
Twins' Taylor Rogers: Likely to take over closer role
Rogers is likely to be used as Minnesota's closer in the short term after Brandon Kintzler was traded to Washington, MLB.com reports.
Minnesota's bullpen didn't have a clear option at closer after Kintzler, as almost every setup man has struggled recently. Rogers was given a save chance Saturday with Kintzler unavailable, but he blew the chance by giving up a two-run homer. However, the team hasn't made a formal announcement, and the closer role may be in flux the rest of the season. Even if Rogers does get the first shot at the role, he may not keep it as, he's given up nine earned runs in his last three innings, including issuing four walks and serving up two home runs.

Carson Smith RP | BOS
Red Sox's Carson Smith: Makes sim game appearance Monday
Smith (elbow) threw 25 pitches in a simulated game Monday, Tim Britton of The Providence Journal reports.
This is the first time Smith has been able to face hitters of any sort since going under the knife last year. The right-hander was also able to mix in his slider and changeup, so he very well could progress to live batting practice relatively soon. He likely won't be able to return until mid-to-late August, however.

Nick Martinez SP | TB
Rangers' Nick Martinez: Potential option for Tuesday MLB start
Martinez could be recalled in order to start Tuesday's game against the Mariners, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Martinez was demoted after struggling in his most recent MLB start, but after Yu Darvish was dealt to the Dodgers prior to the trade deadline, a spot in the rotation opened up. A.J. Griffin (oblique) is also a candidate to fill the void, although it's unclear whether he'll be healthy enough to return from the DL on Tuesday. More information should come forth as Tuesday's contest approaches.
