Frare returned to the White Sox on a minor-league deal Tuesday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Frare was not tendered a contract ahead of Monday's non-tender deadline, but he'll remain in the White Sox's organization. He threw just 2.2 big-league innings last season and looked quite poor in 22.1 frames for Triple-A Charlotte, finishing with a 7.66 ERA. He'll be invited to Chicago's major-league camp this spring.

Bass avoided arbitration Tuesday by signing a one-year deal with the Blue Jays.

Bass will make $1.5 million in 2020, per Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca. The righty finished 2019 with a solid 3.56 ERA in 48 innings for the Mariners but was designated for assignment and claimed by Toronto in late October. He'll compete for the top setup role in front of Ken Giles.

Weems signed a minor-league contract with the Athletics on Tuesday that includes an invitation to spring training.

Weems advanced to Triple-A in 2019 within the Red Sox organization, and he will now get a chance to compete at major-league spring training in 2020. He wasn't particularly effective with Triple-A Pawtucket, posting a 6.17 ERA with a 14:6 K:BB over 11.2 innings, but the 27-year-old's invitation to spring training should help his development.

Diekman signed a two-year contract with the Athletics on Tuesday with $7.5 million guaranteed, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Diekman's club option was declined by the Athletics in late October, but he will return to the team on a new two-year contract. Given his 76 appearances last season between the Royals and Athletics where he accumulated a 4.65 ERA and 1.42 WHIP, it wouldn't be surprising to see him take on a significant role in Oakland's bullpen again. Blake Treinen was non-tendered Monday, which could open up chances for late relief work in 2020.

Herget was claimed off waivers by the Rangers on Monday.

Herget made his major-league debut last season, pitching 6.1 innings for the Reds. He did not strike out a single batter, quite a surprise given his strong 27.1 percent strikeout rate in 58.2 innings for Triple-A Louisville. He'll compete for a bullpen spot in camp.

Johnson cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Pawtucket on Wednesday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Johnson struggled to a 6.02 ERA in 40.1 innings last season. Heading into his age-29 season with a career 4.74 ERA, the lefty could still return to the roster and play a role in the majors this season, but his role isn't likely to be a significant one.

Edwards signed with the Mariners on Wednesday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Edwards will receive $950,000 and could earn an additional $500,000 in incentives. The 28-year-old broke into the league with a 3.06 ERA over his first four seasons with the Cubs but struggled to an awful 8.47 ERA in 17 innings in 2019. The good version of Edwards could become the closer for a Mariners team which lacks an obvious ninth-inning option, but the bad version will struggle to stay in the league.

Garton signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Tuesday, Andersen Pickard of MLBDailyDish.com reports.

Garton is expected to receive an invitation to big-league camp as part of the deal. The 29-year-old isn't particularly likely to make the Opening Day roster, as he owns a career 4.90 ERA in 64.1 major-league innings, only three of which have come in the last two seasons.

Graveman (elbow) signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Mariners on Tuesday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

The deal also includes a $3.5 million club option with a $500,000 buyout for the 2021 season. Graveman secures a major-league deal after not throwing a single major-league pitch in 2019 as he recovered from Tommy John surgery. The 28-year-old was a capable starter prior to the procedure but shouldn't be expected to be much more than a back-end option for the Mariners, as he's struck out just 15.0 percent of batters en route to a mediocre 4.38 ERA in parts of five seasons in the majors.

Luetge signed a minor-league contract with Oakland on Monday, which includes an invitation to spring training.

Luetge hasn't appeared in the major leagues since the 2015 season, so he's likely a longshot to crack the 25-man roster. He tossed 43 innings for Triple-A Reno in 2019, posting a 3.14 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with 46 punchouts.
