Borucki (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday.

What was initially described as a dead arm has now been diagnosed as a left forearm flexor strain. The Blue Jays did not immediately provide a recovery timetable nor did they announce a corresponding roster move.

King pitched 2.1 innings in relief against Tampa Bay on Thursday, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks while striking out six.

The right-hander came on in relief of Jameson Taillon with a pair of runners on base and two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning. King registered a strikeout to escape the jam but then served up a three-run homer to Randy Arozarena in the next frame. The trio of runs were the first King has given up this season. Despite the imperfect outing, he still owns a 1.84 ERA and 0.95 WHIP across 14.2 innings.

Pearson will miss his next Triple-A start due to a mild right shoulder impingement, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Pearson still has considerable potential, but a constant stream of injuries has thus far prevented him from establishing himself at the big-league level. He was expected to spend most of last year in the majors but was limited by a flexor strain to just 18 largely unimpressive innings. This year, it was a groin injury which kept him out for the first month of the year before he failed to get out of the third inning in his season debut. He was demoted to Triple-A following that outing and is now dealing with yet another injury. He's still been able to throw long toss, so this particular issue may not wind up being a major one, but it's a quickly becoming a worrying pattern for the young righty. He'll have to get healthy again and will likely need to make a handful of good Triple-A starts before returning to the big leagues.

Manaea (3-2) was tagged with the loss Thursday against the Red Sox after giving up seven runs on 10 hits and a walk while fanning two across two innings.

Manaea had recorded six straight starts of at least five innings, but pitched his shortest outing of the campaign Thursday while recording season-worst marks in hits and runs allowed, and his two strikeouts represent a season-low figure as well. The left-hander will attempt to bounce back in his next start, scheduled for next week at home against the Astros.

Bolanos was recalled from Triple-A Omaha to serve as the 27th player during Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

The 24-year-old missed out on the Opening Day roster but could make his season debut Friday. Bolanos should return to Omaha at the conclusion of the doubleheader.

Clase walked three batters and struck out none in two-thirds of an inning during Thursday's 4-2 win over Seattle. He earned a hold.

Clase has been Cleveland's primary closer this year, but he's occasionally struggled with his control. That was evident Thursday, as only six of his 18 pitches went for strikes. All three of his walks came with two outs before Bryan Shaw retired Luis Torrens with a strikeout to close out the game. Clase has a 1.06 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB across 17 innings. He's also gone 7-for-8 in save chances, but James Karinchak, who has three saves in four chances himself, could see a larger share of ninth-inning work if Clase's difficulties finding the strike zone become a significant issue.

Hendriks pitched a perfect 1.2 innings while striking out two to earn the save in a win over the Twins on Thursday.

The 32-year-old has thrown six scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts in his last six appearances. Hendriks is 7-for-9 in save chances and carries a 2.93 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. The closer is tied for fifth in the American League in saves.

Shaw recorded the final out of Thursday's 4-2 win against Seattle via strikeout to record the save.

This was a high-leverage situation as Shaw entered with the bases loaded and two out but dispatched Luis Torrens on four pitches to complete the save. Shaw is one of manager Terry Francona's go-to relievers, evidenced by a superb 1.93 ERA, but don't expect abundant saves with Emmanuel Clase and James Karinchak being the main guys for the ninth inning.

Fulmer recorded the final two outs of Thursday's win over the Royals to earn the save.

Gregory Soto, who recorded the save Wednesday, got the nod to begin the ninth, but he allowed two runs while retiring just a single batter. That forced manager A.J. Hinch to turn to Fulmer, and the righty delivered his second MLB save, with his other one coming earlier this month. Fulmer has looked comfortable in his bullpen role, and the Tigers seem to trust him in high-leverage spots. Soto should still be the closer moving forward despite the hiccup, but Fulmer is worth keeping an eye on.

Junis will start the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Junis had come out of the bullpen in each of his last four appearances but will serve as a spot starter in Friday's twin bill. The right-hander has posted a 5.14 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 28 innings across 10 appearances (four starts) this year.
