Sulser (2-0) allowed one hit and no walks while striking out one in a scoreless seventh inning to earn the win against Cleveland on Friday.

Sulser earned his first save of the season in his last outing, and he was able to pick up his second win of the year Friday. The right-hander was used in a save situation Tuesday, and he's part of a late-inning mix that includes Cesar Valdez, Cole Sulser and Paul Fry, who picked up the save Friday.

Akin allowed three hits and one walk while striking out four in five scoreless innings in Friday's win over Cleveland. He didn't factor into the decision.

Akin was dominant in his second consecutive start, but he didn't get any run support from the Orioles early in Friday's contest. The southpaw has allowed just one run in 9.2 innings across his last two starts, but he's had to settle for no-decisions in each appearance. If Akin gets another turn through the rotation, he tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Tampa Bay on June 11.

Nelson was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

Nelson was recalled by the Yankees on Sunday, and he made two relief appearances during his stint with the major-league club. He allowed four runs on three hits and four walks while striking out five in 3.2 innings. The right-hander could return to the big-league bullpen as a low-leverage relief option at some point this year.

Shaw (1-1) allowed two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out one in one inning to take the loss against the Orioles on Friday.

Shaw had tossed 9.1 scoreless innings across his last 11 relief appearances, but he was slightly less effective Friday and was charged with his first loss of the season. The right-hander has now posted a 1.99 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 22.2 innings across 24 appearances in 2021.

Mejia allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two in three scoreless innings in Friday's loss to the Orioles. He didn't factor into the decision.

Mejia was initially slated to start Wednesday, but his outing was pushed back due to inclement weather. The right-hander only threw 50 pitches in his first major-league start, but he was able to hold the Orioles scoreless to begin the game. Mejia could remain in the rotation while Zach Plesac (thumb) is on the injured list. If he makes another start, he tentatively lines up to do so on the road against the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Brasier (calf) is under evaluation at the hospital after being struck in the side of the head by a line drive during a simulated game Friday, Sean McAdam of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.

The 33-year-old has been on the injured list all season with a calf strain but was nearing a rehab assignment before Friday's scary situation. Brasier's rehab program will be put on hold while he's under observation at the hospital.

Armstrong was designated for assignment by the Orioles on Friday.

The 30-year-old has been awful through the first two months of the season with an 8.55 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 22:10 K:BB over 20 innings, which was enough to cost him his spot on the 40-man roster. Armstrong allowed only three runs over 15 frames for Baltimore in 2020 but was unable to replicate that success this season.

Lakins was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Friday.

The 26-year-old delivered 1.1 scoreless frames while serving as the 27th man during a doubleheader last weekend, and he'll rejoin the Orioles after spending the past few days in the minors. Lakins has a 6.75 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 14:12 K:BB across 16 major-league innings this season.

Harvey (oblique) was activated from the 60-day injured list Friday.

The 26-year-old has been sidelined since mid-March by a strained left oblique, but he'll rejoin the active roster ahead of Friday's series opener versus Cleveland. Harvey is expected to be in the mix for save chances in Baltimore, though he could be eased in via lower-leverage spots after missing the first two months of the season.

Miller was claimed off waivers by the Rangers and optioned to Triple-A Round Rock, John Blake reports.

Miller was DFA'd by the Cubs on May 30. He will now head to the Rangers' organization and provide the club with pitching depth. Miller allowed three earned runs across 5.1 innings during three appearances (one start) for Triple-A Iowa.
