Pivetta (6-3) allowed three runs on six hits and three walks with six strikeouts in five innings in a loss to Kansas City on Friday.

A three-run home run by Adalberto Mondesi in the third inning was enough to send the right-hander to his third loss in his last four outings. Pivetta was strong over the first two months of the season, but he's now allowed 13 runs across 20.2 innings in his last four starts. Overall, the 28-year-old has a 4.36 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 86:36 K:BB across 74.1 innings. He lines up for a road start versus Tampa Bay next week.

Brentz pitched a perfect inning and struck out two to earn a hold in Friday's 5-3 win over Boston.

Brentz saw a 15-inning scoreless streak end Wednesday when he gave up a run to Detroit. He bounced back well Friday with a clean inning. The 26-year-old has logged a 1.93 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 38:19 K:BB across 32.2 innings this year. While he's been an effective option with a win and seven holds in 34 outings, Brentz has yet to see any closing assignments in his first major-league campaign.

Barlow allowed a run on two hits and struck out one in one inning to earn a hold in Friday's 5-3 win over Boston.

Barlow gave up a solo home run to Rafael Devers in the eighth inning, but he was able to limit the damage after that. Through eight innings in June, Barlow has given up two runs, eight hits and three walks. He's posted a 2.06 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 49:15 K:BB across 35 innings overall. With two saves and 10 holds across 32 appearances, the right-hander is an essential part of Kansas City's late-inning plans, although Greg Holland is still more likely to see save chances.

Peralta (3-2) allowed three runs on three hits and no walks while striking out one in 1.1 innings to take the loss against the Athletics on Friday.

Peralta had tossed 1.2 scoreless innings across his last two appearances, but he gave up a three-run homer in the top of the sixth inning that proved to be the difference in Friday's contest. The southpaw now carries a 5.32 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in 23.2 innings this season.

Trivino allowed no hits and one walk in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Yankees on Friday.

Trivino was unable to record any strikeouts in Friday's appearance, but he preserved the 5-3 lead to earn his 12th save of the year. The right-hander has earned three saves in his last four appearances and has tossed 8.1 scoreless innings across his last eight outings.

Pressly (4-1) stuck out the side in a perfect ninth inning to earn a win over the White Sox on Friday.

Pressly fanned the side on 13 pitches to hold the game at a 1-1 tie before Yordan Alvarez delivered a walkoff double in the bottom of the frame. The 32-year-old righty now owns a 1.93 ERA with a 32:5 K:BB in 28 innings. He's converted 10 of his 11 save chances this season in addition to his four wins.

Mayers failed to record an out while allowing three runs on three hits and one walk Thursday against Detroit.

Mayers entered the contest in the eighth inning with Los Angeles staked to a six-run lead. He gave up a double, two singles, a walk and a run before being removed, and two more of the runners he allowed to reach base crossed the plate after his departure. The Angels went on to win the contest, so Mayers' rough outing didn't affect the final outcome, but it did lead to Raisel Iglesias needing to pitch two innings to pick up the save. Mayers entered the game having logged eight straight scoreless appearances, and he figures to continue to be used in high-leverage situations despite Thursday's implosion.

The Mariners selected Nittoli's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.

It was reported earlier Friday that Nittoli would be getting his first big-league call-up and now the transaction has been made official. It's been a long road to the majors for the 30-year-old, as he he bounced around between affiliated ball, the Mexican League and other independent organizations before inking a minor-league deal with Seattle this past offseason. Nittoli posted a 3.50 ERA to go along with a strong 26:5 K:BB in 11 appearances (four starts) with Tacoma, and is expected to work out of the bullpen for the Mariners.

The Mariners recalled Ramirez from Triple-A Tacoma prior to Friday's game against Tampa Bay.

It's been a hectic stretch for the right-hander, as he was recalled from Tacoma on Saturday before being sent back down Monday. He'll now return to the big leagues, where he's given up three earned runs through four innings so far this season.

The Blue Jays recalled Kay to the 26-man roster prior to Friday's game against the Orioles, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

Kay has bounced back and forth between Triple-A in the majors this season. Four of his five big-league appearances have been starts, though he's expected to serve as a long reliever this time around. The southpaw has yet to find much success at either level this season, posting a 6.62 ERA across 17.2 innings with Toronto and a 9.95 ERA across 12.2 innings with Buffalo.
