Morgan (1-2) allowed four runs on six hits while striking out four over five innings to pick up his first career win Monday against the Tigers.

Morgan didn't necessarily have a spectacular outing, but he did enough to walk away with a win. He allowed the Tigers to get on the board in the second when Miguel Cabrera led off the inning with a solo home run. The rookie gave up another run in the fourth and then surrendered a two-run blast to Jake Rogers in the fifth before his day came to a close. Morgan has allowed 17 earned runs over 16.1 innings, which comes out to a 9.37 ERA. He does have a 19:2 K:BB, but his time in the rotation is quickly dwindling with Zach Plesac (thumb) on the brink of activation from the injured list.

Wilson (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Angels, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Wilson made his third rehab appearance Sunday at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and he should rejoin the big-league club Tuesday. He's been sidelined since May 28 due to a right hamstring strain after getting off to a shaky start in 2021, accruing a 6.08 ERA and 1.43 WHIP with a 12:6 K:BB across 13.1 innings.

Barnes tossed a perfect ninth inning to earn a save over the Royals on Monday.

Barnes didn't record a strikeout but needed just 10 pitches to finish off the 6-5 win. He's converted his last three save chances after blowing the previous two, making him17-for-20 on the year. The 31-year-old owns a 2.73 ERA and a 54:9 K:BB.

King (0-4) allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over 4.1 innings Monday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Angels.

King got into trouble right from the start Monday, serving up a solo shot to Shohei Ohtani and an RBI double to Jared Walsh in the first inning. He was later tagged with an unearned run after he was pulled in the fifth inning. The 26-year-old righty hasn't finished five innings in any of his last four outings and he's still searching for his first win of the season. King owns a 4.06 ERA through 44.1 innings. He's lined up to face the Mets at home this weekend.

Iglesias recorded three strikeouts in a perfect ninth inning Monday and earned a save over the Yankees.

Iglesias rolled right through the middle of the Yankees' order Monday, striking out Giancarlo Stanton, Luke Voit and Gleyber Torres on 15 pitches. After a rocky stretch where he allowed five runs in four appearances, the 31-year-old has 10 strikeouts over 4.1 perfect frames in his last three outings. He owns a 3.74 ERA with an impressive 53:7 K:BB.

Scrubb was recalled by the Astros on Monday, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Scrubb has had a busy few days. He was recalled to serve as the 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader against the Tigers but was optioned after the game. He's back just two days later and will give the Astros an extra option in the bullpen, though his 7.62 ERA and 1.85 WHP in 13 innings at the highest level this season mean he'll likely be limited to low-leverage innings. Taylor Jones was optioned in a corresponding move.

Wells could start Tuesday against Houston if he isn't needed in the bullpen Monday, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.

The Orioles are also considering a bullpen game. Wells made a two-inning relief appearance in his big-league debut Saturday, so he wouldn't be on full rest if he does get the nod.

Nelson was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

Nelson hasn't looked good in 10 relief appearances this season, struggling to a 9.31 ERA and an 8:8 K:BB. He'll try to get back on track in the minors, with Logan Allen joining the big-league roster in a corresponding move.

The Twins promoted Winder from Double-A Wichita to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

Winder, a 2018 seventh-round pick, earned the call to the minors' highest level after compiling a 1.98 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 65:10 K:BB in 54.2 innings. The right-hander is an older prospect -- he'll turn 25 in October -- so service-time considerations may not come into play if the Twins feel he's ready to contribute to the big-league rotation later in 2021. Before a promotion to Minnesota is entertained, Winder will first need to continue to perform at a high level in his initial outings with St. Paul.

Nelson has a 9.31 ERA and a 1.86 WHIP through his first 10 appearances this season.

While those are daunting numbers, the southpaw has actually kept runs off the board in eight of his outings. Nelson's ratios have been warped by the two times he's allowed five runs. A 7.4 BB/9 is still too high to be considered effective, but considering he's pitched to a 4.58 FIP, the reliever should be in line for a statistical correction over time. He allowed just one walk and struck out one over 1.1 innings in Sunday's 8-2 loss to Minnesota.
