Cisnero retired the only batter he faced to earn the save in Sunday's 6-5 win over the White Sox.

Gregory Soto began the ninth inning in a non-save situation, but he struggled to finish the game. Cisnero entered with one on and two outs, and he got Andrew Vaughn to line out. The right-hander hasn't given up a run in his last 9.2 innings, racking up two saves, four holds and a win in his last nine appearances. Overall, Cisnero has a 2.72 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 44:13 K:BB across 36.1 innings this year. He's up to four saves and 10 holds as part of Detroit's closer committee.

Valdez (back) was activated from the 10-day injured list Sunday.

Valdez landed on the shelf with a lower-back strain June 21 and will rejoin the Orioles without requiring a rehab assignment. The veteran righty is 8-for-12 in save chances with a 5.74 ERA and 1.65 WHIP this season. He could remain in the mix for high-leverage spots, but Paul Fry and Cole Sulser could be first up for saves since they have pitched better overall.

Ramirez fired three scoreless innings in a loss to the Rangers on Saturday, allowing a hit and a walk while recording four strikeouts.

Ramirez's current big-league stint continued unblemished Saturday, as he's now put together five scoreless frames across three appearances since being recalled from Triple-A Tacoma last Sunday. The right-hander boasts a 3.00 ERA and 0.67 WHIP across five appearances with the Mariners following a successful 2020 debut when he recorded three saves, one hold and a 2.61 ERA across 20.2 innings over 16 appearances.

Montero fired 2.2 scoreless innings during which he allowed a hit and recorded three strikeouts during a loss to the Rangers on Saturday.

The veteran reliever put together a much-needed resurgent effort following three straight appearances in which he allowed multiple earned runs and saw his season ERA balloon to 6.75. Despite his effectiveness Saturday, Montero is likely to see a fairly healthy dose of low-leverage assignments until he proves he's righted his ship over an extended period.

Fleming's recovery from a right calf strain has gone well, and manager Kevin Cash expects him to be activated off the injured list and available Tuesday against Cleveland, the Associated Press reports.

The left-hander will end up spending just the minimum 10 days on the IL if Cash's prognosis proves accurate. Michael Wacha is currently listed as the Rays' probable starter for Tuesday's game, but it's possible Cash eventually confirms the veteran and Fleming will operate in tandem for that game.

Andriese (2-3) allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits in a third of an inning Saturday to take the loss in extra innings to the Athletics.

The Red Sox staked Andriese to a two-run lead in the top of the 12th inning, and he gave it all away in just 13 pitches during the bottom half of the frame. The right-hander got off to a brilliant start in April but has gone south since the beginning of May. He has a 7.99 ERA while permitting seven home runs over 23.2 innings in the last 16 games. The downturn could be attributed to usage -- Andriese has gone more than a week without pitching three times since the beginning of June -- as Boston has not needed its go-to multi-inning reliever often. Manager Alex Cora told Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com that Andriese is still needed.

Wilson allowed five runs on four hits and one walk without retiring a batter in Saturday's loss to the Mets.

The left-hander was called upon in the sixth inning with the Mets ahead by three runs. Wilson couldn't keep the game close, allowing three straight singles followed by a walk and a double before departing with the Yankees down 6-0. Both baserunners he passed on to Michael King soon came around to score, and Wilson was charged with five total runs in the outing. His season ERA jumped to an ugly 8.79 as a result, and he has given up at least one earned run in three of his past four appearances.

The Yankees reinstated Peralta (back) from the 10-day injured list and added him as the 27th man for Sunday's doubleheader against the Mets.

A back strain landed the lefty on the 10-day IL on June 26. His most recent appearance June 18 against the Athletics was a rough one, as he allowed three runs on three hits in 1.1 innings. It's unclear whether Peralta will rejoin the Yankees' 26-man roster or be sent to Triple-A following the doubleheader.

Jax (1-1) was tagged with the loss Saturday against the Royals after allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks across five innings, striking out three.

Jax made the first start of his big-league career but was unable to slow down Kansas City and was lit up. The right-hander at least managed to complete five frames, but other than that, there are very few positives to take out from this outing. He may return to a bullpen role going forward, as he's made all but one of his five big-league appearances this season as a reliever.

Barlow notched the save Saturday against Minnesota after tossing a scoreless ninth inning, giving up one hit and recording one strikeout.

Barlow had the task to defend a three-run lead in the top of the ninth inning and while he allowed Jorge Polanco to snatch a one-out single, he closed things out by striking out Nick Gordon and inducing Nelson Cruz to a groundout. Barlow has gone 4-for-5 in save chances this season and also has 11 holds, but perhaps the most important thing to note going forward is that he's been given the ball in each of the last two games where the Royals have needed a save. However, the Royals still seem to be deploying a committee approach to closing duties and that could continue to limit the upside of all the relievers involved.
