Barnes allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Yankees.

With the Red Sox failing to record a hit through seven innings, it didn't look like Barnes would be needed Sunday. A five-run rally in the eighth inning put the Sox ahead, and the 31-year-old had no trouble notching his 21st save in 25 chances. The closer has a 2.41 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 65:11 K:BB through 41 innings this year.

Yarbrough allowed one run on five hits and a walk while striking out six across seven innings in a no-decision versus Cleveland on Sunday.

Yarbrough got the mistake out of the way early, as Cesar Hernandez took him deep to lead off the first inning. Other than that, it was an excellent effort for the southpaw in his first quality start since June 27. The performance was wasted when Matt Wisler allowed two runs and took the loss in the eighth inning. Yarbrough lowered his ERA to 4.38 with a 1.19 WHIP and 90:20 K:BB across 109 innings. He projects for a home start versus Boston next weekend.

Karinchak (7-2) allowed a walk in a scoreless inning, earning the win Sunday versus Tampa Bay.

Karinchak has had some unsteady performances lately, but he was fairly sharp Sunday. He kept Cleveland's deficit from growing, then earned the win when the offense scraped together two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. The 25-year-old has a 2.84 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 69:25 K:BB across 44.1 innings. He'll likely continue to share the late innings with Emmanuel Clase, who converted his 12th save Sunday. Karinchak has 11 saves, nine holds and three blown saves.

Clase pitched a perfect inning and struck out one to earn the save in Sunday's 3-2 win over Tampa Bay.

Sunday was the fourth straight scoreless inning Clase has pitched after enduring a run of three straight blown saves. The right-hander got the ball in the ninth inning after James Karinchak pitched the eighth. Clase lowered his ERA to 1.98 with a 1.22 WHIP and 44:14 K:BB across 41 innings. He's added 12 saves, six holds and four blown saves in a high-leverage role this year.

Brasier (concussion) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Monday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Brasier completed a successful bullpen session Friday and will continue his throwing program Monday. The right-hander landed in the concussion protocol in early June after being struck by a line drive, but he appears to be closing in on a rehab assignment.

Hatch is scheduled to start Monday against the Red Sox if he's not needed out of the bullpen Sunday, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.

Sunday's starter Ross Stripling was able to cover five innings, so it's unlikely Hatch will be needed in relief. Hatch was scheduled to start last Tuesday before the contest was postponed, and he's instead likely to receive the nod Monday. Manager Charlie Montoyo indicated the right-hander could stick in the rotation as the sixth starter for the near future due to upcoming doubleheaders.

Weber was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

Weber was claimed off waivers by the Mariners on July 16, and he'll make his way to the majors Sunday. The right-hander delivered a scoreless frame in his lone appearance for the Brewers before being DFA'd. He also covered 5.2 innings during an outing with the Red Sox and surrendered 11 runs, including four homers.

Peralta (illness) threw a bullpen session at the Yankees' Double-A stadium in Somerset on Saturday, Mike Ashmore of PatriotsBaseball.com reports.

Peralta was one of several Yankees to test positive for COVID-19 in mid-July, and he is just beginning to work his way back into game shape. According to Julio Mosquera, manager of the Double-A Somerset Patriots, Peralta is "trying to get his feet back under him and make sure body responds the right way." The lefty reliever could go on a minor-league rehab assignment prior to being activated, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Fulmer (neck) will toss one inning for Triple-A Toledo on Sunday and is set to rejoin the Tigers on Monday in Minnesota, at which point he could be activated, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Fulmer has been out since June 27 but it sounds like his return is imminent. Once he joins the team Monday, he'll go through a full pregame workout before the medical staff makes a final decision. Even if he's not activated Monday, Fulmer should return early in the week assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks. Gregory Soto leads the Tigers with 11 saves, but Fulmer and his six saves should work back into the late-inning equation. The fact that he's a righty and Soto is a lefty could allow manager A.J. Hinch to mix and match in save situations depending on matchups.

Raley (undisclosed) was activated from the COVID-19 injured list Sunday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

The left-hander has been on the shelf since July 8, but he's cleared the health and safety protocols and is ready for game action. Raley made one rehab appearance with Triple-A Sugar Land last week to clear the way for his return.
