The White Sox recalled Lambert from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Lambert has made just three appearances at the big-league level this season, giving up eight earned runs on 13 hits in eight innings of work. His 4.98 ERA in 18 Triple-A starts doesn't inspire much confidence, either. Even so, Lambert will likely be counted on to eat innings Tuesday in Oakland, either as a traditional starter or primary pitcher out of the bullpen. Matt Foster was optioned to Triple-A to clear a spot on the roster.

The Twins optioned Gibaut to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Gibaut was up with the big club for about a week and a half, appearing in three games out of the bullpen while giving up two runs on seven hits and two walks over 6.2 innings. He'll cede his spot on the 28-man active roster to pitcher Michael Pineda (oblique), who was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of his scheduled bulk-relief appearance in Monday's game in Cleveland.

Schreiber was optioned to Triple-A Worcester on Monday.

Schreiber had been with the team since Wednesday. He made his season debut Sunday against Cleveland, striking out five while allowing a run on four hits and a walk in a three-inning relief appearance. He'll head back to the minors as the Red Sox cycle in a new set of fresh arms.

The Red Sox reinstated Taylor from the COVID-19-related injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Rays.

Though he was deactivated Aug. 30, Taylor never tested positive for the virus and was thus eligible to return from the IL in less than 10 days. The Red Sox were comfortable with how Taylor looked from a conditioning standpoint while he played catch on the field earlier Monday, so he should be available out of the bullpen for the series opener.

The Tigers announced Monday that Jimenez tested positive for COVID-19, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Along with Jimenez, bench coach George Lombard tested positive for the virus, despite both having been vaccinated. It's unclear if the Tigers have a player readily available to take Jimenez's spot on the 28-man active roster for Monday's game in Pittsburgh, so the team could wait until Tuesday before placing Jimenez on the COVID-19 injured list. Jimenez will need to complete a quarantine period of at least 10 days and test negative for the virus before he's eligible to rejoin the Tigers.

The Orioles recalled Lowther from Triple-A Norfolk ahead of his scheduled start Monday versus the Royals, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Lowther is rejoining the Orioles for the first time since early July to pick up the second start of his big-league career. Though he turned in a 2.79 ERA over his final two starts at Triple-A prior to his call-up, Lowther was tattooed for 10 earned runs on 13 hits and four walks over 8.1 innings in his five appearances in the majors earlier this season. As such, fantasy managers should tread carefully with Lowther, who tentatively lines up for a two-start week. His second turn is expected to come during Saturday's doubleheader with the Blue Jays at Camden Yards.

Soto picked up the save Sunday against the Reds after tossing 1.2 scoreless innings, walking one and fanning two.

It was an uncharacteristically long outing for Soto, who had pitched more than 1.2 innings just five times this season. He still got the job done, though, recording the final five outs of the contest while allowing just one baserunner in order to claim his 18th save of the campaign. He also extended his streak of scoreless appearances to seven.

Schreiber allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out five over three relief innings in Sunday's 11-5 loss to Cleveland.

Schreiber entered for emergency starter Kutter Crawford, who was called up to start in place of Nick Pivetta (COVID-19 protocols). He pitched for the first time since Boston selected his contract last Wednesday. Crawford is now part of a pitching staff that's in flux due a COVID-19 outbreak.

Hearn (5-4) allowed three earned runs on seven hits while striking out four across seven innings, earning the win over the Angels on Sunday.

Hearn surrendered two home runs to Jo Adell that accounted for all three runs allowed. This was Hearn's deepest outing of the season, and he has allowed just three runs or less in all seven appearances since becoming a starter. The 26-year-old has a 3.95 ERA and 1.27 WHIP with 81 strikeouts in 84.1 innings

Ramirez (1-2) got the win in Sunday's 10-4 extra-innings victory against the Diamondbacks, striking out one in one inning.

Ramirez entered in the 10th inning of a tie game and retired two straight Diamondbacks with the winning run on third to keep the game going. Seattle went on to score six runs in the top of the 11th to earn Ramirez his first career win. The 26-year-old righty has taken on a larger role of late, permitting just one run in his last 7.1 innings across seven appearances while recording Sunday's win and two saves in the process.
