Lowther yielded three runs on five hits and two walks over 3.1 innings in a no-decision Saturday against Boston. He also struck out a pair.

Lowther gave up all three runs in the opening inning, giving up an RBI single to Rafael Devers and a two-run double to Bobby Dalbec. Lowther was able put up zeroes in each of the next two innings but was pulled in the fourth after giving up back-to-back walks with one out. Lowther, who has been knocked around for 10 runs in just 5.1 innings over his last two outings, is tentatively lined up to face Texas at home in his next scheduled start.

Krehbiel was optioned to Triple-A Durham following Saturday's loss to the Tigers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Krehbiel had his contract selected Saturday and made his big-league debut versus Detroit, and he delivered a scoreless frame with two strikeouts and a walk. The 28-year-old will return to Durham, where he has a 4.19 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 52:9 K:BB over 43 innings this season.

Criswell was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Criswell made his MLB debut in late August but was demoted after giving up three runs on six hits over 1.1 innings. The right-hander started in that outing but figures to work out of the bullpen this time around.

Moll was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.

Moll will take the roster spot left vacant by Daulton Jefferies, who landed on the injured list with an elbow issue. Jefferies had been scheduled to start Saturday against the Angels, so Moll could potentially be involved right away if Oakland elects to go with a bullpen game.

Solomon was recalled by the Astros on Saturday, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Solomon has thrown three scoreless innings at the major-league level this season, the last of which came back in early July. He owns a 4.70 ERA in 97.2 innings for Triple-A Sugar Land. Brandon Bielak was optioned to clear space for Solomon on the roster.

Krehbiel's contract was selected by the Rays on Saturday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Krehbiel made a pair of major-league appearances for the Diamondbacks in 2018 but has been in the minors ever since. He owns a 4.19 ERA in 43 innings for Triple-A Durham this season. He'll fill the roster spot left vacant by Kevin Kiermaier, who was placed on the COVID-19 injured list.

Rogers (finger) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

A sprained middle finger has kept Rogers on the shelf since late July. He's already been ruled out for the season, so the transaction is purely a procedural one. It clears space on the 40-man roster for the Twins to select Drew Maggi's contract.

Akin (2-10) allowed four runs on six hits and three walks with no strikeouts in four-plus innings, taking the loss versus Boston on Friday.

The southpaw took a step back after a quality start in his last appearance. It was the second time in his last three outings he completed only four innings. Akin has struggled in his first full major-league season with a 6.93 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 76:39 K:BB across 89.2 innings. He's projected for a road start in Philadelphia next week.

Heasley (0-1) was lit up in his MLB debut Friday, allowing four earned runs over four innings in a loss to the Mariners. He gave up six hits, struck out five and walked none in the contest.

Heasley got the chance to make his big-league debut Friday after Brady Singer was put on the 10-day injured list for an unspecified reason. The 24-year-old gave up all four runs on a pair of homers by Jared Kelenic. The prized outfielder got to him for a two-run blast in the second and another in the fourth to give the Mariners a comfortable four-run cushion. Heasley made the jump from Double-A Northwest Arkansas to make the start, and it remains to be seen if he will pitch for the big-league club again in 2021.

Marte (0-1) was tagged with the loss Friday against the Athletics after allowing an unearned run while walking two across 0.2 innings.

Marte, who had been out nearly a month for undisclosed reasons, entered the game with one out in the sixth inning but was unable to get the job done due to some command issues. Aside from walking two of the four batters he faced, he only tossed six of his 18 pitches for strikes. Despite this shaky outing, Marte should remain in the Angels' bullpen for the remainder of the campaign.
