Trivino saved Friday's 8-6 victory over Houston, allowing a hit and a walk with one strikeout in 1.1 scoreless innings.

Trivino was brought in to clean up an eighth inning that saw Houston shrink Oakland's lead from six runs to two and stayed in for the ninth, when he retired three straight Astros after permitting the first two batters to reach base. This is Trivino's first save since Aug. 20 and his 22nd of the season as he's now thrown eight straight scoreless innings across seven appearances.

Manaea (11-10) got the win in Friday's 8-6 victory over the Astros, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts in 5.2 innings.

Manaea permitted the first two Houston batters to reach base, with one crossing the plate in the first inning, but settled down thereafter to surrender only one more run in the sixth inning and fall one out short of a quality start. The 29-year-old lefty has now allowed two or fewer runs in four of six September starts and concludes the campaign with an 11-10 record in 32 starts with a 3.87 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 194:41 K:BB.

Morgan (5-7) allowed four runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings Friday, striking out two and earning a win over the Rangers.

Morgan gave up two runs in the second inning before allowing solo home runs to Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Nathaniel Lowe in the third and sixth frames. He gave up multiple home runs for the third time in his last six outings and will finish the 2021 season with a 5.34 ERA through 89.1 innings.

Howard (0-5) allowed eight runs (five earned) on five hits and three walks over 3.2 innings Friday, striking out two and taking a loss against Cleveland.

Howard was hit hard in the third and fourth innings, allowing six runs and getting tagged with two more after he was removed from the game. He served up solo homers to Austin Hedges and Bobby Bradley in the process. The right-handed rookie ends his 2021 campaign with a 7.43 ERA and a 52:27 K:BB through 49.2 innings. Howard was charged with 20 earned runs over his final 16 innings (11.25 ERA) of the year.

Robles walked two in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Friday's 4-2 win over Washington.

The right-hander issued two walks after getting two outs, but he got Keibert Ruiz to fly out to end the threat. Robles has been reliable when called upon lately, as his scoreless innings streak is up to 12.2. In that span, he's allowed just five hits and four walks while striking out 16. For the year, he has a 4.50 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 75:36 K:BB across 68 innings between Boston and Minnesota.

Wells was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday.

Wells wasn't going to pitch again this season after tossing six innings against Boston on Thursday, so he'll be optioned to clear space for Isaac Mattson. He'll end the season with a 6.75 ERA and 1.62 WHIP in eight starts and three relief appearances.

Karinchak was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Friday.

Karinchak has saved 11 games this season but pitched himself out of a high-leverage relief job in late August after struggling to a 9.75 ERA over his last 12 innings of work. He's been good in seven Triple-A appearances, giving up two runs on three hits in six innings of work while striking out nine batters and walking three. It's not impossible that he could see a save chance or two in the final series of the season, but the team doesn't seem to have a lot of faith in him given his demotion.

Zerpa (0-1) was tagged with the loss Thursday after allowing two runs (both unearned) on three hits and a walk while fanning four across five innings.

The young left-hander made his big-league debut in the series finale and while he was tagged with the loss, he looked composed while tossing 44 of his 68 pitches for strikes. Zerpa posted a 2.59 ERA across eight starts at High-A Quad Cities and will probably start next season at Double-A, but this outing was certainly encouraging for his long-term outlook.

Fulmer nailed down the save Thursday against Minnesota after tossing a scoreless inning, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one.

Fulmer has been on fire recently and has tossed 10 straight scoreless outings; in fact, he has given up just two runs over his last 18 innings dating back to Aug. 22. The right-hander has gone 13-for-17 in save chances this season and owns a 3.01 ERA on the year, a figure that would rank as a career-best mark for him.

Lange (1-3) earned the win in relief Thursday against the Twins after tossing 1.1 scoreless innings, fanning two.

Lange tossed a second straight scoreless outing and enjoyed a strong September, tossing 10 scoreless appearances out of 12 trips to the mound and racking up one save, three holds and a 2.03 ERA with a 13:3 K:BB across 13.1 innings. He's made 35 appearances on the year and owns a 4.08 ERA in that span, but he's ending the campaign with excellent results over the last few weeks.
