Munoz (elbow) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Munoz underwent Tommy John surgery in March of 2020, though he only began throwing off a mound in July of this year after suffering a setback. However, he has progressed well since, throwing a total of 3.2 innings on a rehab assignment -- most of which came with Triple-A Tacoma. He isn't likely to serve in a high-leverage role out of the bullpen immediately, but he could contribute to the Mariners' final push for the playoffs.

Garcia (undisclosed) was reinstated from the 7-day minor-league injured list Saturday, Conor Foley of The Scranton Times-Tribune reports.

Garcia spent a week and a half on the injured list for an unspecified reason, but he'll rejoin Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for the final few games of the regular season. It's not yet clear whether the right-hander will pitch again to close out the year, but he's in line for a normal offseason.

Mills was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

Mills was called up by the Mariners on Monday, but he didn't make any appearances during his time with the major-league club. He'll head back to the minors after Donovan Walton was recalled Saturday.

Speier has allowed three runs (one earned) in seven innings since he was promoted from Triple-A Omaha.

The 26-year-old has been a little unlucky with errors, and his 1.29 WHIP is nothing to write home about, but he's been able to limit the damage in a small sample. Speier has covered 20 innings across three big-league seasons, so he shouldn't be expected to see more than a low-leverage relief role entering next season.

Abreu was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Abreu was called up Thursday, and he tossed two-thirds of a scoreless inning in Friday's loss to the Rays. He'll return to the minors after Andrew Velazquez was recalled Saturday.

Fleming recorded his third hold in a win over the Yankees on Friday, firing 1.2 scoreless innings during which he recorded a strikeout.

Fleming got his five outs on an efficient 20 pitches, 14 which found the strike zone. The 25-year-old's late-season transition to the bullpen has been somewhat rocky, as Fleming has now interspersed a trio of scoreless efforts with three other outings during which he yielded multiple earned runs.

Iglesias secured the save Friday against the Mariners after tossing a scoreless inning, allowing one run.

Iglesias has converted each of his last 13 save opportunities and has given up just two runs over his last nine outings since the beginning of September. The 34 saves tied a career-high mark for the seven-year veteran, who is en route to finishing the year with an ERA below the 2.75 mark for the fourth time over his last five seasons.

Barnes allowed one run on one hit over two-thirds of an inning in Friday's 4-2 win over the Nationals.

With Boston leading 4-0 entering the seventh inning, manager Alex Cora brought in Barnes, the team's one-time closer. Later in the game, Cora turned to Hansel Robles to close out Washington for the save. Barnes has pitched better after a rocky August, but he endured a bout with COVID-19 during the first half of September. It's unclear what Cora plans for the closer role if the Red Sox qualify for the postseason.

Kittredge allowed two runs on four hits and struck out two in one inning to earn the save in Friday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.

Kittredge ran into trouble in the ninth inning, but he was able to make a three-run lead hold. The right-hander has been a bit shaky lately, allowing seven runs (six earned) in his last 9.2 innings. He's collected eight saves and seven holds while logging a 1.88 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 77:15 K:BB in 71.2 innings overall as a high-leverage arm for the Rays.

Heasley (1-1) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Friday, striking out one batter and earning a win over the Twins.

The only damage against Heasley through the first five innings was an RBI double by Josh Donaldson in the fourth frame. He served up a solo homer to Ryan Jeffers in the sixth and was charged with another two runs after he was lifted from the game. The 24-year-old rookie produced a 4.91 ERA and a 6:3 K:BB through 14.2 innings in his first taste of MLB action.
