Richan (undisclosed) was placed on the injured list at Double-A Erie on Friday, Emily Waldon of The Athletic reports.

The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but Richan will open the season on the shelf. He made eight starts for Erie last year and had a 3.72 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 26:9 K:BB over 29 innings.

Pearson (illness) is "feeling much better" according to Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins and could resume baseball activities within days, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander is recovering from mononucleosis and his last spring training appearance came March 26, so he will likely need time to get back in form again before seeing game action. It's not yet clear what the Jays plan to do with Pearson once he's healthy, but the 25-year-old has minor-league options remaining and the team is already facing a bullpen crunch when rosters shrink down in May, so an assignment to Triple-A Buffalo where he can get stretched back out as a starter seems the most probable course for Pearson once he's ready to begin his season.

Borucki (hamstring) is throwing off a mound and should be ready to join the Blue Jays' bullpen soon, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

April 14 is the earliest date Borucki can be activated from the IL, but it looks like he's on track to meet that timeline. The southpaw struggled through an injury-plagued 2021, posting a 4.94 ERA and 21:11 K:BB over 23.2 innings, and he figures to work in middle relief once he's healthy.

Pressly allowed one hit in a scoreless ninth inning to record the save Thursday against the Angels.

Pressly didn't have to wait long for his first save opportunity of the season, and he made quick work of the Angels. He allowed a leadoff single to Mike Trout, but then retired the next batter before a double play ended the game. Pressly continued to experience declined fastball velocity, topping out at 92.6 mph with his fastball, though it didn't harm his effectiveness in this outing.

Barlow allowed zero runs on two hits across 2.0 innings and earned the victory Thursday against the Guardians. He struck out three and didn't walk a batter.

Barlow notched a 2.42 ERA with 14 holds and six saves across 74.1 innings last season and picked up right where he left off to start the 2022 campaign. The 29-year-old figures to be one of Kansas City's top options for high-leverage situations.

The Rays placed Anderson (elbow) on the 60-day injured list March 25.

The transaction is merely a formality, as Anderson is expected to be sidelined for the majority of the 2022 season while he recovers from the right elbow surgery he underwent last October. According to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, Anderson had been throwing off flat ground from 60 feet as of late February, but it's unclear if he's advanced to mound work yet or when he might be able to do so.

Campbell (elbow) is scheduled to start High-A Everett's season opener Friday versus Eugene, Everett radio broadcaster Pat Dillon reports.

Campbell didn't pitch after June 4 last season due to a right elbow injury that later required arthroscopic surgery, but it looks as though he's back to full strength heading into 2022. The 24-year-old will be returning to Everett after he submitted a 2.33 ERA and 0.99 WHIP across 19.1 innings with the affiliate last season before being shut down.

Bachman will open the season on the minor-league 7-day injured list due to back spasms, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

The Angels haven't announced an official assignment for Bachman, but he's expected to report to Double-A Rocket City after finishing the 2021 campaign at High-A Tri-City. In five outings for Tri-City spanning 14.1 innings, the 22-year-old righty gave up six earned runs on 13 hits and four walks while striking out 15. The Angels have described his placement on the IL as precautionary, so he shouldn't be out much longer than the minimum seven days.

Jimenez's contract was selected by the Athletics on Thursday, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

After spending all of 2021 at Triple-A Buffalo, Jimenez will be available to make his first major-league appearance since logging two relief outings with the Giants in 2020. As a non-roster invitee this spring, he posted a 1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 7:4 K:BB across six innings.

The Athletics placed Honeywell (elbow) on the 60-day injured list Thursday, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Honeywell is without an official timeline to return after suffering a stress reaction of his right elbow in late March, but his move to the 60-day IL ensures he won't be making his Athletics debut for at least another two months. The transaction opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for reliever Justin Grimm.
