Winder gave up two runs on four hits and one walk over 5.1 innings of relief with two strikeouts in Saturday's loss to Boston.

Winder entered the game in the second inning after Sonny Gray left with a hamstring injury. He gave up a two-run home run to Xander Bogaerts but was otherwise impressive. Even if Gray misses additional action, Winder is likely to remain in a long-relief role since the Twins were already deploying a six-man rotation, but the rookie could get a shot at starting if another spot opens up.

Alcala (elbow) threw from 60 feet and 90 feet on Friday, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. "I didn't feel quite where I wanted to be, but we're progressing and that's what matters. We're moving forward, so hopefully soon I'll get back," he said.

Alcala said he felt pain in his elbow when throwing a fastball Sunday, but said the pain was 20 on a 100 scale. That sounds encouraging that this isn't a major injury, but there's still no timetable for his return.

Bachman (back) is throwing at Anaheim's spring training facility, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Bachman suffered the back injury late in spring training and has been on the injured list since. He doesn't have an official timetable to return, though Fletcher reports that Bachman will be pitching in games within "a few weeks." Bachman was not assigned to a level within the organization, though Double-A Rocket City is his most likely destination once activated.

Trivino walked one and struck out three over a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his second save of the season in a 7-5 win over the Blue Jays.

The right-hander has issued a free pass in three straight appearances and only threw 11 of his 22 pitches for strikes Saturday, but Trivino may be settling into his role as Oakland's closer. He racked up 22 saves in 26 chances last season, and Trivino's converted two straight after blowing his first opportunity of 2022.

Stanek is experiencing some tightness in his back Saturday but is available to pitch against the Mariners, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Save chances are available temporarily in Houston with Ryan Pressly on the injured list due to right knee inflammation. Stanek is one of the top candidates for those opportunities but might not get them if he's not at full strength, especially as he may be behind Hector Neris on the depth chart even if fully healthy.

Feyereisen will serve as the opener Sunday against the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Rays use openers frequently, though this will be Feyereisen's first time in the role. He'll throw an inning or potentially two before turning the ball over to Tommy Romero.

Mushinski's contract was selected by the Astros on Saturday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Mushinski made four appearances at Triple-A Sugar Land to begin the regular season, and he allowed an unearned run on a hit and no walks while striking out five in 4.2 innings. He'll now be available out of the Astros' bullpen to make his major-league debut, but he should pitch mainly in low-leverage situations.

Pressly was placed on the 10-day injured list with right knee inflammation Friday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Pressly blew the save and took the loss Wednesday in Arizona when he allowed two runs (one earned) on a hit and two walks in one-third of an inning. It's possible that the injury contributed to his struggles, and the right-hander will have at least a week and a half to recover. In spite of Wednesday's rough outing, Pressly should reclaim closing duties upon his return. Hector Neris and Ryne Stanek are candidates for ninth-inning duties while Pressly is sidelined.

Ramirez fired a clean eighth inning in a win over the Astros on Friday, recording a strikeout.

The hard-throwing right-hander turned in a blink-and-you-missed-it outing, getting through his one frame on six pitches, five which found the strike zone. Ramirez stumbled in his first appearance of the season against the Twins on Sunday while allowing two earned runs on two hits over an inning, but he's now bounced back to toss back-to-back scoreless frames.

Rodriguez cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Rodriguez spent two days on the major-league roster earlier in the week, allowing three runs in four innings of relief. He owns a 5.97 ERA and a 15.6 percent strikeout rate since the start of the 2019 season, so it's no surprise to see him pass through waivers unclaimed.
