Heasley didn't factor into the decision during Tuesday's 8-6 loss to Arizona, allowing three runs on four hits and six walks with five strikeouts in five innings.

Heasley surrendered one run apiece in the first, second and fourth innings and was in line for the win until Arizona put up five runs in the bottom of the sixth. The 25-year-old was helped by two double plays and was able to strand four runners to offset putting 10 runners on base, though Heasley has now walked an alarming 12 batters 13.1 innings across three starts. If he sticks in the rotation, Heasley will likely take the mound early next week against Cleveland.

Pivetta (3-4) earned the win Tuesday after he tossed six innings, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five against the White Sox.

Pivetta held the White Sox off the board over the first three innings before Jose Abreu launched a two-run homer in the fourth frame. He allowed another run in the fifth before pitching a scoreless sixth inning to end his outing. Pivetta has now registered four consecutive quality starts, posting a 1.61 ERA and 0.68 WHIP with 25 strikeouts over 28 innings in those outings. The 29-year-old has won three straight starts and he'll look to make it four when he toes the rubber next, which tentatively lines up to be Sunday versus the Orioles.

Duran pitched a scoreless ninth inning on his way to a save in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Tigers. He hit a batter and allowed a base knock.

With Emilio Pagan unavailable after working two innings Monday, Duran was called upon in the ninth Tuesday. He allowed a single to Miguel Cabrera to open the frame and hit Jeimer Candelario with one out in the inning, but he was able to get Willi Castro to ground into a double play to end the game. The 24-year-old has now converted all four of his save opportunities this year while also snagging four holds. Duran has posted a 2.53 ERA and 0.75 WHIP with 31 punchouts over 21.1 innings in 16 appearances in 2022.

Fulmer struck out all three batters he faced in Tuesday's loss to the Twins.

Fulmer hadn't appeared in a game since Wednesday, as the Tigers are just 1-5 in their past six contests, so they haven't turned over too many leads to their more high-leverage relievers. The righty didn't show any rust, as he made quick work of the Twins in the seventh inning. Fulmer now has 14 strikeouts across 16.1 innings this season to go with a 3.31 ERA.

Brieske (0-4) allowed two runs on six hits across four innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Twins. He walked one and struck out three.

Brieske pitched OK, though he needed 90 pitches to get through four innings, so he wasn't able to go very deep in the contest. He was also outdueled by Sonny Gray, who tossed seven shutout innings, and the Tigers fell 2-0 with just five hits as a team. Brieske at least bounced back after allowing two long balls and six runs in his last start, but his first MLB win remains elusive. The rookie will carry a 5.04 ERA into his next start, which tentatively lines up for Sunday against the Guardians.

Rodriguez (shoulder) recently experienced a setback in his recovery and has been shut down from throwing, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

It's unclear exactly how far Rodriguez was into his throwing program, but he's now been shut down. The 23-year-old began the season on the 60-day injured list while recovery from capsule repair surgery in November, and the setback could jeopardize any chance of seeing game action in 2022.

Chapman was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday due to left Achilles tendinitis.

Chapman struggled significantly over his last five outings, giving up at least one run in all five and posting a 14.73 ERA and 3.27 WHIP over that stretch. It's unclear to what extent he was battling Achilles issues throughout that time. He'll miss at least 15 days, with the Yankees yet to give a timeline for his return beyond that point. Clay Holmes hasn't given up a run since his first outing of the year and appears to be the top choice to close games until Chapman returns.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Chapman (Achilles) is likely to be placed on the 15-day injured list, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.

Before making any roster move, the Yankees will likely wait and see how Chapman looks Wednesday, the final day that the team would be able to backdate a stint on the IL. At the moment, however, Boone doesn't seem optimistic that Chapman will demonstrate enough progress in his recovery from left Achilles' tendinitis to avoid a two-plus-week absence. With Chapman expected to go on the IL, Clay Holmes looks like the top candidate to pick up saves for the Yankees in the interim.

Abreu (ankle) was activated from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

The 26-year-old landed on the injured list with a sprained ankle in early May, and he'll rejoin the active roster after a three-game rehab stint with Triple-A Round Rock. Abreu was operating in a low-leverage relief role prior to the injury and has a 3.52 ERA, 1.96 WHIP and 8:11 K:BB over 7.2 innings.

Brash yielded five earned runs on two home runs, three walks and two wild pitches over one inning in Triple-A Tacoma's loss to Sacramento on Sunday. He struck out one.

Brash had produced some encouraging results in his first four trips to the mound for the Rainiers following a May 5 demotion from the Mariners, but Sunday's outing highlighted the two biggest culprits in his getting sent down in the first place. Brash allowed three- and two-run homers during his one frame and had severe issues with his control, which evoked memories of the 1.4 HR/9 and 7.7 BB/9 he generated across five starts before getting booted off the big-league roster. The right-hander figures to continue working out of Tacoma's bullpen for the time being while he further refines his game.
