Pivetta (7-5) allowed one run on four hits and four walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Cardinals.

Pivetta was tagged with an RBI single off the bat of Harrison Bader in the fourth inning but turned in a clean outing otherwise. He struck out double-digit batters for the second time in his last three outings; the four walks caused him to throw 108 pitches, but he also forced 12 swinging strikes, his highest since May 18. After starting 0-4 through his first five starts, Pivetta is 7-1 with a 61:16 K:BB and a stellar 1.77 ERA over his last nine appearances. He's lined up to start in Cleveland next week.

Pearson (illness) was removed from Sunday's rehab start with Triple-A Buffalo due to right shoulder discomfort, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.

Pearson threw only two pitches during Sunday's outing before leaving with the training staff, and the severity of the issue remains unclear. The 25-year-old will continue to be evaluated over the next couple days, but his return timeline will be pushed back if he's forced to be shut down from throwing for any period of time.

The White Sox placed Foster on the bereavement list Sunday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Foster is on bereavement leave for the second time this season; he was previously away from the team for four days in late April to address a personal matter. The White Sox called up outfielder Adam Haseley from Triple-A Charlotte to join the 26-man active roster as a replacement for Foster, who has turned in a 5.13 ERA and 1.37 WHIP across 26.1 innings out of the bullpen in 2022.

Pearson (illness) was removed from Sunday's rehab start with Triple-A Buffalo due to an apparent injury, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

It was Pearson's fifth rehab outing after a bout of mononucleosis in the spring delayed his availability, but he threw only two pitches Sunday before leaving the field with the training staff. The right-hander's career has been marred by injuries, and he's now potentially dealing with another issue, which could further push back his return timeline.

Megill was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a right shoulder impingement, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

The right-hander hasn't pitched since June 14, so it's unclear when exactly he picked up the injury. Megill has a 2.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB across 13 innings this season but will now be unavailable for at least the next couple weeks.

Rosenberg was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake to start Sunday's game at Seattle, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Rosenberg has made two appearances out of the bullpen for the Halos this season, and he'll make his first career big-league start Sunday. The 26-year-old has a 2.34 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 36:12 K:BB over 34.2 innings for Salt Lake this year, and he could receive another turn through the rotation with a strong showing versus the Mariners.

Hentges struck out one in a perfect inning in Saturday's 7-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Hentges was the Guardians' most effective pitcher Saturday. He's given up runs in only three of his 21 appearances this season, and he's allowed multiple runs only once. That shakes out to a 1.64 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 27:4 K:BB with one hold in 22 innings, though he's yet to get a real taste of high-leverage assignments despite the solid overall numbers. He's also posted a 2.54 FIP, which indicates he might experience a little regression, but it's not likely to be severe.

Brentz (elbow) will report to Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Sunday to begin a rehab assignment.

Brentz has been sidelined by a flexor strain in his left elbow since late April, but he's entering the final stage of his rehab program. The 27-year-old surrendered 14 earned runs with a 9:10 K:BB across 5.1 innings prior to landing on the injured list.

Lawrence was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.

Lawrence joined the big-league club and pitched four relief innings Friday against the Yankees, and he'll return to the minors in favor of a fresh arm. He's given up three earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts and two walks over 7.1 innings for Toronto this season.

Adam recorded one out without allowing a baserunner to record a hold Saturday against the Orioles.

Adam's outing was brief and not particularly notable, though he followed starter Jeffrey Springs into the game in the fourth inning. Adam picked up his second save of the season June 9 -- which came after Andrew Kittredge (elbow) went down -- but Colin Poche closed out Saturday's win. Adam has been excellent this season by maintaining a 0.68 ERA, 0.64 WHIP and 30:8 K:BB, though it appears that he will be reserved for high-leverage scenarios rather than a traditional ninth-inning role.
