Voth will start Sunday's game against the Rays, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The right-hander has made three appearances out of the bullpen since being claimed off waivers by Baltimore on June 7, but he'll start Sunday's contest after Jordan Lyles (undisclosed) was a late scratch. Voth hasn't thrown more than two innings or 38 pitches in an appearance this season, so he's unlikely to pitch deep enough to have a chance at qualifying for a win versus Tampa Bay.

Vargas (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Akron on Sunday.

Vargas is ready to make his 2022 season debut after spending just under 14 months recovering from Tommy John surgery. The Guardians added Vargas to their 40-man roster during the offseason, but once he's activated from the 60-day injured list, he'll likely be optioned to Akron and continue to make regular starts for the affiliate.

Hearn (4-5) took the loss Saturday, allowing eight runs on 10 hits while striking out four and walking none over 3.2 innings.

Hearn was tagged for 10 hits and eight earned runs in Saturday's loss. He did not look sharp, throwing just 49 of 79 pitches for strikes across 3.2 frames. The eight runs were the most Hearn has allowed in a single game this season. One positive is that the lefty did not allow any walks in the outing. The rough game added nearly a run to his ERA, which now sits at 6.25.

Barlow picked up the save Saturday against Oakland, allowing no runs on no hits while striking out one and walking none across 1.1 innings.

Barlow entered the game in the eighth inning after Jose Cuas allowed a baserunner in a 1-0 game. Barlow picked up the final out in the eighth, then remained in for the bottom of the ninth. He needed only 12 pitches to pick up four outs and earn his eighth save of the year. The righty reliever has a 1.55 ERA this season and seems to have a strong lock on the closer role in Kansas City after converting his last seven save opportunities.

Poche pitched a clean ninth inning to pick up his fourth save of the season in a 7-6 win over the Orioles on Saturday.

Poche has been one of the Rays' most dependable relievers this season. With J.P. Feyereisen (shoulder) placed on the 15-day injured list and Andrew Kittredge (elbow) out for the season, Poche has worked his way into the mix for saves, along with Jason Adam. Poche hasn't given up an earned run since May and has two wins and two saves during that time.

Tate (0-3) allowed a run on a hit, a walk and a hit batter with two strikeouts in an inning, taking the loss Saturday versus the Rays.

Tate pitched his way into a bases-loaded jam, and he surrendered the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly. This was his first loss and second earned run against since May 17, a span in which he's added four holds in his last 13 appearances. The right-hander still has a steady 1.95 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 26:6 K:BB, nine holds and a save through 32.1 innings overall.

Iglesias (2-4) earned the win in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Mariners. He struck out two in a perfect inning.

Iglesias was tasked with keeping the game tied in the ninth inning, and he did just that. Mike Trout hit a two-run blast in the 10th to put the Angels ahead, and Iglesias came away with his second win of the year when Jose Quijada converted the save. As the Angels' main closer this year, Iglesias is 13-for-15 in save chances with a 4.24 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 34:4 K:BB through 23.1 innings. Archie Bradley, who was charged with a blown save in the matinee Saturday, pitched a clean inning in the nightcap for a save as the Angels swept the doubleheader.

Quijada struck out one in a perfect 10th inning to earn the save in a 4-2 win over the Mariners in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Closer Raisel Iglesias was deployed to keep the game tied in the ninth inning, allowing Quijada a rare high-leverage opportunity when the Angels went ahead in the top of the 10th. He performed well, needing just nine pitches to retire the side. The southpaw has a 1.17 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 10:3 K:BB across 7.2 innings in eight appearances. This was his first major-league save since 2019 with the Marlins, and he's not expected to be in the late-inning mix often.

Neris (suspension) struck out one in a perfect inning during Saturday's 7-0 loss to the White Sox.

Neris completed a three-game suspension Friday and rejoined the Astros' bullpen for Saturday's game. He's allowed six runs across five innings in June, picking up two holds, a loss and a blown save. The 33-year-old has a 3.62 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 30:6 K:BB while adding 12 holds in 30 appearances as a veteran high-leverage arm.

The Blue Jays selected the contract of Castillo on Saturday, baseball analyst Alfonso E. Saer Gomez reports.

He has a 1.92 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 64 strikeouts in 56.1 innings split evenly between Double-A and Triple-A. Castillo has been working as a starter in the minors, and the Jays have a full five-man rotation, so it's unclear if Castillo will be used in long relief or if he will get a chance to make a spot start.
