Holmes got four outs without giving up a hit or a walk to finish off a 4-0 shutout win over the Blue Jays in a non-save situation Saturday. He struck out one.

Holmes continued his scoreless appearance streak with a perfect 1.1 innings. He has not given up a run in 29 straight appearances and 31.1 innings of work dating back to April 9. With the Yankees up by four runs, manager Aaron Boone called on Holmes with two outs in the eighth to retire the last four batters of the game. It was a non-save situation but a perfectly normal role for a manager to bring in his closer. With Aroldis Chapman's eventual return from an Achilles injury, Holmes' role in the bullpen could be challenged.

Francis was outrighted to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday.

He cleared waivers and will remain in the organization. Francis has a 9.91 ERA in 26.1 innings over nine appearances since getting optioned to Triple-A on May 1.

Warren was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a right triceps strain.

He logged three innings over two appearances this week since returning from a broken nose, but apparently Warren suffered an injury in his latest outing. The righty reliever should be considered out indefinitely.

Murfee will open Game 2 against the Angels in what will amount to a bullpen game Saturday evening, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Justus Sheffield or Tommy Milone could work as the primary pitcher in this game. The right-handed Murfee has a 3.00 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 11 strikeouts in nine innings across nine appearances this month. He won't go deep enough to qualify for the win.

Gage was recalled by the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Gage was optioned Friday but will return just one day later with Trevor Richards (neck) hitting the injured list. Gage allowed one run on two hits across five innings of relief work during his previous stint in the majors, his only big-league experience to date.

Richards hasn't been pitching well lately, allowing 12 runs in eight innings across his last eight appearances, though it's unclear exactly how much of that can be attributed to the injury. Matt Gage was recalled to take his place in the bullpen.

Neris is available out of the Astros' bullpen for Saturday's game against the White Sox after serving his three-game suspension, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Neris was unavailable for the last three games after MLB determined that he intentionally threw at the Mariners' Eugenio Suarez on June 7. Over five appearances since the start of June, the right-hander picked up two holds while giving up six runs in four innings.

Gillaspie was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday.

Gillaspie pitched well during most of his time with the major-league club, but he gave up four runs on five hits and no walks in one-third of an inning during his most recent appearance. The right-hander will head back to the minors after Joey Krehbiel (shoulder) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list Saturday.

Krehbiel dealt with right shoulder inflammation over the last few weeks but will rejoin the Orioles' bullpen after missing the minimum of 15 days. Over his last 10 relief appearances, he picked up three holds while posting a 2.31 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 11.2 innings.

Kay (undisclosed) began a rehab assignment with the Blue Jays' rookie-level Florida Coast League affiliate Saturday, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.

Kay has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury since late April but has been cleared for a rehab assignment nearly two months later. Once he's back to full health, he should be assigned to Triple-A Buffalo.
