Loup earned a hold by striking out the side in a perfect inning against Seattle on Sunday.

Loup came in to start the seventh inning with the Angels up by three runs. He struck out Jesse Winker, Cal Raleigh and Justin Upton on 16 pitches -- five of which were swinging strikes. Loup struggled over his final four starts in May but has started to turn things around this month, posting a 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB across 5.1 innings.

Borucki allowed an earned run on three hits over one inning while recording a strikeout in a loss to the Angels on Sunday.

Borucki pitched to plenty of contact but was fortunate to limit the damage to just one run. The southpaw has generated scoreless efforts in four of his first six appearances in Seattle, but he's given up three earned runs across 1.1 innings in the two outings during which he's been scored upon.

Chapman (Achilles) is scheduled to throw a live batting practice session Tuesday at the Yankees' spring complex in Tampa, Julia Kreuz of MLB.com reports.

Chapman has said that he hopes to return from the 15-day injured list without requiring a minor-league rehab assignment beforehand, but the Yankees will see how he fares while facing hitters Tuesday prior to deciding on his next step. Before he was placed on the IL on May 24 with left Achilles tendinitis, Chapman was beginning to lose some security as the Yankees' closer after giving up at least one earned run in five consecutive outings. While Chapman has been out, Clay Holmes has been lights-out as the Yankees' closer, but manager Aaron Boone said last week that he prefers to deploy Holmes as a high-leverage reliever rather than a pure ninth-inning man once the club is back to full strength. If that ends up being the case, Chapman could re-emerge as the Yankees' main closer once activated, though Boone likely won't hesitate to feed Holmes some save chances every now and then.

Munoz pitched the eighth inning in a loss to the Angels on Sunday, allowing two hits and an unearned run while striking out the side.

Munoz worked himself out of trouble and threw 14 of 19 pitches for strikes despite allowing the two baserunners and one run. The fireballing right-hander hasn't allowed an earned run in eight of his last 10 appearances, and he has a sparkling 9:0 K:BB across the 3.2 frames covering his last three outings.

The Mariners reinstated Giles (finger) from the 60-day injured list Monday.

Giles has 115 career saves on his ledger, but he's not expected to immediately step in as the Mariners' top choice to close games even while the club continues to take a committee-based approach to the ninth inning. He hasn't pitched in an MLB game since September 2020, after he missed the entire 2021 campaign and the first two months and change of the 2022 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery and a tendon injury to his right middle finger. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Giles looked rusty during his nine-appearance rehab assignment in the minors. Between stops at Triple-A Tacoma and High-A Everett, Giles surrendered 16 earned runs (11 earned) on 15 hits and eight walks over 7.1 innings. The Mariners will likely ease him into the mix in a low-leverage role until he proves worthy of pitching in key spots.

Rangers manager Chris Woodward said Otto (illness) will make a rehab start at Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday, Dawn Klemish of MLB.com reports.

Otto has resided on the COVID-19-related injured list since June 10, but he's cleared all protocols less than two weeks later and is in the process of ramping up. Woodward said that if all goes well during Otto's rehab outing, he could slot back into the big-league rotation during Sunday's home game against the Nationals.

Cisnero (shoulder/Achilles) reported to the Tigers' spring training facility in Lakeland, Fla. on Monday to continue his rehab program, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Cisnero said he expects to spend about two weeks building up in Florida before heading to Triple-A Toledo for a rehab assignment. The right-hander opened the season on the Tigers' 60-day injured list while recovering from a strained shoulder and was cleared to begin a rehab assignment June 9, but he was pulled off the assignment after just one appearance when he experienced swelling in his Achilles' tendon.

Baumann was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

The move comes as teams around the league are required to drop the number of pitchers on their active rosters to 13. Baumann's latest MLB stint lasted four days. He threw a scoreless innings of relief Sunday against the Rays in his lone appearance, dropping his ERA on the season to 4.50.

Fulmer tossed a scoreless inning of relief to earn a hold in Sunday's win over the Rangers. He struck out one.

Fulmer is up to 10 holds this season, and he's pitched well with a 2.16 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 26 strikeouts across 25 innings. He's surpassed the nine holds he recorded last year, though he also posted 14 saves in 2021 as the Tigers were a bit more fluid with the closer role. This year, Gregory Soto leads the team with 13 saves, while Fulmer has just one so far. It looks like he'll continue to rack up holds, but Soto has the closer role fairly secure at this point.

Garcia (1-3) picked up the win Sunday against the Yankees, striking out three batters over 1.1 perfect innings.

The right-hander put together one of his most impressive outings of the season against one of the league's most dangerous offenses, and Garcia got rewarded for his efforts in top of the seventh inning when the Blue Jays re-took the lead for good in the bottom of the frame. He has yet to record a hold in June, but the 31-year-old has been scored upon only once in his last 10 appearances, posting a 2.89 ERA, 0.64 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB in 9.1 innings over that stretch.
