Lambert was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.

Lambert will return to the big leagues just two days after being optioned back to Triple-A, as Vince Velasquez (finger) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. The reliever owns a 3.45 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with 13 strikeouts over 15.2 innings in nine appearances with the White Sox this season.

The Tigers recalled Vest from Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday.

Even though Detroit optioned Vest to Triple-A after the second game of Monday's doubleheader with the Guardians, he'll be eligible to rejoin the big club two days later since fellow reliever Wily Peralta (hamstring) was moved to the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. In his 26 appearances out of the Tigers bullpen this season, Vest has picked up one save and no holds while submitting a 3.41 ERA and 1.14 WHIP.

Taylor (back) will throw an inning for Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Taylor is set to follow a scheduled five innings from Chris Sale (ribs). He's already made six appearances since June 21, which is typically more than a reliever needs in the rehab process.

Voth gave up three runs on four hits and one walk across 4.1 innings during Tuesday's extra-inning win over the Rangers. He had three strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

The right-hander started strong with four scoreless frames but was pulled after loading the bases with one out in the fifth, and all three baserunners came around to score. It was Voth's fourth start since joining Baltimore's rotation, and he has a 3.46 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB across 13 innings in that role. The 30-year-old tentatively lines up to start Sunday's game against the Angels, though he could be bumped from the rotation if Kyle Bradish (shoulder) is ready to be activated from the injured list.

Howard allowed four runs on six hits and two walks over four innings during Tuesday's extra-inning loss at Baltimore. He had two strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

Howard was promoted Tuesday for his first big-league appearance since late April, but he generated only five swinging strikes on 68 pitches. The 25-year-old has a 10.97 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 14:4 K:BB across 10.2 innings this season, and he's not guaranteed to receive another turn through the rotation. However, should Howard receive another start, he tentatively lines up to pitch early next week versus the A's.

Barlow was charged with a blown save after giving up one run on one hit during the ninth inning of Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the Orioles. He had one strikeout and did not walk a batter.

The right-hander was called upon to protect a one-run lead, but he surrendered a two-out solo homer to Rougned Odor, which tied the game 9-9. It's the second straight blown save for Barlow, and he's allowed five earned runs over his past eight innings after posting a 2.21 ERA across his first 20.1 frames of the year.

Pivetta (8-6) gave up seven earned runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 5.2 innings to take the loss in an 8-4 defeat to the Rays on Tuesday.

Pivetta had been pitching well lately, but the Rays tagged him for a couple of big innings and he took his sixth loss of the season. Pivetta gave up a bases-loaded double off the bat of Kevin Kiermaier in the first and then couldn't get out of the sixth as the Rays picked him apart with hits. The 29-year-old right-hander is in the midst of being surprisingly effective this year with numbers well below his career 4.88 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. The worry is perhaps that the seven-run outing could mark the beginning of his regression toward career averages. Look for him to make his next start against the Yankees on Sunday.

Trivino allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Trivino got Santiago Espinal to ground out after allowing a two-out single to Raimel Tapia. This was Trivino's fourth save since June 25, though he also took a loss in his last outing July 2 versus the Mariners. The veteran reliever is now 6-for-7 in save chances while posting a 6.94 ERA, 2.01 WHIP and 35:12 K:BB in 23.1 innings this season. While his overall numbers aren't great, he's gone seven appearances without allowing multiple runs.

Martinez (2-1) earned the win Tuesday over the Blue Jays. He allowed three runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out five in five innings.

Martinez allowed all three runs on home runs -- former Athletics slugger Matt Chapman took him deep for a two-run blast in the second inning and Teoscar Hernandez added a solo shot in the fourth. While it wasn't a convincing start, Martinez got enough run support and four scoreless innings from the Oakland bullpen to come away with his second win in three starts. The right-hander has a 6.00 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 11:2 K:BB through 15 innings so far. Martinez likely did enough to earn himself another start, which is projected for next week in Texas.

Montero allowed a run on one hit and struck out two in one inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Royals.

A seven-inning scoreless streak came to a close when Andrew Benintendi knocked in Whit Merrifield on a groundout, but Montero was still able to pick up his second save in his last four outings. This was his sixth save of the year, which came after Ryan Pressly was deemed unavailable after warming up but not pitching Monday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports. Through 32.2 innings overall, Montero has been solid with a 1.93 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 35:11 K:BB while adding 12 holds and three wins as the Astros' primary setup man.
