Montero allowed a run on one hit and struck out two in one inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Royals.

A seven-inning scoreless streak came to a close when Andrew Benintendi knocked in Whit Merrifield on a groundout, but Montero was still able to pick up his second save in his last four outings. This was his sixth save of the year, which came after Ryan Pressly was deemed unavailable after warming up but not pitching Monday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports. Through 32.2 innings overall, Montero has been solid with a 1.93 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 35:11 K:BB while adding 12 holds and three wins as the Astros' primary setup man.

Winder (4-2) earned the win during Tuesday's 8-2 victory over the White Sox, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings.

Making his fifth start of the campaign, Winder limited a potent Chicago lineup to two runs and Minnesota's offense eventually came around to put him in line for his fourth win. During his starts, the 25-year-old has posted a 1.72 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with 21 strikeouts in 26.1 innings. Winder should have Chris Archer's (hip) spot in the rotation for the next few turns, and he's scheduled to pitch again versus Milwaukee next week.

Robles was designated for assignment by the Red Sox following Tuesday's 8-4 loss to the Rays, Sean McAdam of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.

The 31-year-old surrendered a run on a hit and two walks in one inning Tuesday, and he's now been removed from the 40-man roster in order to make room for Wednesday's starting pitcher, Brayan Bello. Robles had two saves, six blown saves and seven holds in 26 appearances to go along with a 5.84 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 21:14 K:BB across 24.2 innings.

Sborz was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.

Sborz rejoined the big-league club June 26 and delivered a scoreless inning during his lone appearance for the Rangers over the past 10 days. The right-hander has appeared in 10 games in the majors this year and has an 8.71 ERA, 1.94 WHIP and 15:8 K:BB across 10.1 innings.

Ridings (shoulder) hasn't progressed in his activity beyond playing light catch, Randy Miller of NJ Advance Media reports.

Ridings has been out all season with a right shoulder impingement, and his likelihood of making it back before the end of the campaign could be narrowing given his lack of progress in his recovery. The right-hander had done some throwing from flat ground in May, but he was subsequently shut down and hasn't made significant strides since. It's unclear exactly what is holding him back, and Yankees manager Aaron Boone was vague on the subject, stating, "It's just been a battle. He's still not doing much. I don't know that it's setbacks. He just hasn't gotten to a point where he's done much. He's played light catch, but he hasn't done more than that. He's had a lot of tests."

Marinaccio (shoulder) is currently shut down from throwing but could begin tossing lightly this weekend, Randy Miller of NJ Advance Media reports.

Marinaccio was placed on the injured list Saturday, so it's not surprising that he's currently not throwing. The fact that he could resume tossing a baseball this weekend suggests that he may not be facing an extended absence. Yankees manager Aaron Boone seemed to suggest that scenario Sunday, stating, "Ronnie's obviously a younger guy and going through the grind of the major-league season for the first time. Instead of just kind of pushing through this right now and maybe have it be a lingering issue, it's best to give him a few days and try to keep him as strong and fresh as possible."

Howard was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock ahead of his start against the Orioles on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old opened the season in the majors but has been at Triple-A since late April, and he has a 3.69 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 60:19 K:BB over 46.1 frames in 10 starts for Round Rock. Howard is now taking the big-league rotation spot of Taylor Hearn, who was demoted to the minors last week.

Winder was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.

Winder will take the roster spot of Chris Archer (hip), and he will see work immediately, as he will start Tuesday night against the White Sox. The Twins are hoping to get Archer back right before the All-Star break, but Winder figures to make another start or two before then. Winder allowed at least one earned run in his first three big-league appearances, but he's fared far better after that, posting a 2.88 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 25.0 innings over his last five outings with the Twins.

Sandlin was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.

After spending a couple weeks in the minors, Sandlin will reclaim a spot in Cleveland's bullpen. He posted a 2.89 ERA over his first 18.2 big-league innings of the season, but his 1.61 WHIP suggests he was a bit on the fortunate side.

Young was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.

Young joined the Guardians on Sunday and made his first big-league appearance of the season Monday. He tossed only six pitches and did not allow a run, but Cleveland still decided to send him down and replace him in the bullpen with Nick Sandlin.
