Harris earned the save Tuesday against the Cubs, recording the final out of the game.

After right-hander Scott Barlow allowed two baserunners in the ninth inning, the Athletics turned to Harris to face Ian Happ with two outs. The move was matchup-based, as Happ entered the game batting just .161 against left-handed pitching compared to .258 against righties. Harris executed perfectly, inducing a flyout from Happ to end the game and secure his fifth save of the season, most on the team. The left-hander now owns a 2.57 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 31:22 K:BB across 28 innings this season.

Junis earned the save Tuesday against the Cardinals, allowing one hit while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

With Jacob Latz working the last two days, Junis was called upon in the ninth inning with a three-run lead and worked around a two-out single by Nelson Velazquez to secure his fourth save of the season and first since April 12. The veteran right-hander continues to provide steady production out of the bullpen, allowing just two runs over his last 17.2 innings. On the year, Junis owns an impressive 1.69 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 17:5 K:BB across 26.2 innings.

De Jesus pitched four scoreless innings of relief in Tuesday's 8-0 win over the Rays. He didn't allow any hits or walks while striking out four to record his first career save.

Jack Flaherty started the game with five scoreless innings of his own to finally earn his first win of the year, but De Jesus still looked excellent in his longest outing of the season, and he needed only 35 pitches to complete the shutout. The lefty lowered his ERA nearly a whole run from 5.91 down to 4.97, and he's up to 25 strikeouts across 25.1 innings. De Jesus could earn more opportunities in a long-relief role due to his effectiveness Tuesday.

Heasley was returned to the major-league roster and placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right elbow stress reaction.

Heasley was outrighted to Triple-A Durham on Saturday, but because he suffered his injury during his time with the Rays, he'll be placed on the Rays' 15-day injured list and also reclaim a spot on the 40-man roster. The 29-year-old righty gave up five earned runs in four innings during his lone outing with Tampa Bay and will likely be outrighted to Triple-A again once he's healthy.

Crochet (shoulder) was diagnosed with a low-grade lat strain Tuesday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

The Red Sox pulled Crochet off his throwing program Sunday after he reported tightness in his lat, and MRI results have now confirmed that he's dealing with a minor strain. Interim manager Chad Tracy said the 26-year-old southpaw will be cleared to resume his throwing program as soon as he's asymptomatic, at which point an updated return timeline may begin to emerge.

Bachman has been unavailable for the past few days due to an illness, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Bachman's last appearance came Saturday against the Rays, though he has reportedly been feeling under the weather since Friday. It's unknown whether he's trending toward a stint on the IL, but he will likely remain sidelined for at least another day or two while he recovers.

The Angels optioned Fermin to Triple-A Salt Lake following Monday night's game.

Fermin had a scoreless streak of nine appearances entering Monday's game versus Colorado, but he would blow the save by allowing five runs across two-thirds of an inning. With his demotion, the Angels recalled Sam Aldegheri from Salt Lake in a corresponding move.

Garcia (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Single-A Dunedin on Wednesday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Garcia has been on the injured list all season while working his way back from a cleanup procedure he underwent on his right elbow in September. He was cleared to begin a rehab assignment in mid-May but suffered a minor setback during his first appearance and was slowed down. He's ready to test his elbow in a game setting again now that he's thrown a few more bullpen sessions without problems, though he will likely require several minor-league outings before the Blue Jays bring him back from the IL.

Nance (forearm) threw live batting practice Tuesday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Nance was cleared to begin throwing off a mound Thursday, and he seems to be making considerable progress in his recovery given that he's now facing live hitters. He's scheduled to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, and a return from the injured list may come shortly thereafter.

Whitlock (knee) "felt really good" while throwing a side session Tuesday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

The right-hander was shut down from throwing for a few days late last week after experiencing some knee discomfort following an injection, but he's now returned to mound work with no issues. Whitlock landed on the shelf May 28 due to knee inflammation and may not need an extended stay on the IL if he continues building his throwing program back up with no further issues.
