Shaw was sent outright to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday, per the MLB's transactions log.

Shaw was designated for assignment by the White Sox on Saturday, and after failing to draw any interest from around the league, he'll end up in Charlotte. He owns a 4.03 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 24 strikeouts in 21 appearances (22.1 innings) this season at Triple-A.

Perez picked up the save Monday against the Phillies, working around a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

Perez got the call in the ninth with Felix Bautista having pitched in Baltimore's previous two games. After retiring the first two Phillies in the inning, Perez surrendered a base hit and a walk before coaxing a groundout from Johan Rojas to strand the tying and winning runs. While Perez isn't likely to see much closing work going forward, he's been solid lately, pitching to a 1.93 ERA over his last nine appearances (9.1 innings). Overall, the southpaw sports a 4.54 ERA with a 1.78 WHIP and 26:20 K:BB through 33.2 innings this season.

Thielbar (oblique) will start a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Thielbar has been limited to just one appearance since May 3 due to a pair of injured list stints because of a strained right oblique. He's finally game ready again and should be ready to rejoin the Twins' bullpen following a handful of rehab outings.

The Guardians optioned Herrin to Triple-A Columbus on Monday, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Cleveland selected the contract of lefty Daniel Norris from Triple-A to replace Herrin on the 26-man active roster and in the bullpen. Herrin was the pitcher of record in Sunday's loss to the Phillies after giving up three runs (two earned) on one hit and one walk. He needed 22 pitches to record his three outs and also threw 22 pitches between appearances Thursday and Friday, so he was unlikely to be available out of the bullpen for at least a couple of days.

The Guardians selected Norris' contract from Triple-A Columbus ahead of Monday's game against the Royals, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Norris will be up with the Guardians for the second time this season after he previously spent four days with the club before being designated for assignment June 21. Since clearing waivers and reporting back to Triple-A, Norris has posted a 2.35 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 16:2 K:BB in 15.1 innings. Though he's been deployed as a swingman at Triple-A this season, Norris is likely to serve exclusively as a multi-inning bullpen arm while he's in the majors.

Jimenez (shoulder) allowed an earned run on three hits and a walk over 1.1 innings in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Salt Lake on Sunday. He struck out one.

Jimenez took the hill for his second rehab appearance and worked up to 30 pitches, nearly doubling his volume from his 16-pitch outing Thursday. As in that appearance, Jimenez surrendered an earned run, but the fact he was able to up his workload with just two days' rest is encouraging. The right-hander likely still has plenty of rust to knock off due to his long layoff, so he appears slated for additional appearances with the Aviators in coming days.

Smith (1-2) took the loss against the Astros on Sunday, allowing an earned run on a solo home run over 1.2 innings. He also issued a walk and hit a batter.

Smith paid for his one mistake, a slider that Mauricio Dubon blasted 404 feet to left center for a go-ahead homer in the ninth. Smith has now allowed at least one earned run in five straight appearances, another rough patch in a season that's seen him pitch to a 6.59 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 1.3 HR/9 while also posting an unsightly 1.29 K/BB across 13.2 innings.

The Red Sox optioned Garza to Triple-A Worcester, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Garza was up with Boston for just two days and made his lone relief appearance in Saturday's 8-6 win over the Mets. He recorded two outs in that appearance while giving up three earned runs on three hits.

After being called up from Worcester on July 4, Walter worked exclusively as a reliever for Boston, covering eight innings over five appearances while allowing three runs (two earned) on 11 hits and one walk. He'll likely get stretched back out and transition into a starting role as he returns to Worcester.

Baumann (7-0) walked two and struck out two without allowing a hit over 2.2 scoreless innings to earn the win over the Rays on Sunday.

Baumann has allowed just one unearned run over his last 11.2 innings, collecting three wins, a hold and a blown save in 10 appearances in that span. He's also posted a 12:9 K:BB in that stretch, but the elevated walk rate has yet to come back to haunt him. He's at a 3.49 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 52:28 K:BB through 49 innings this season, emerging as a reliable multi-inning option for manager Brandon Hyde.
