The Rays reinstated Devenski from the bereavement list Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Devenski was placed on the bereavement list after signing with the Rays on Tuesday, and he'll now report to the team to serve as bullpen depth. Jalen Beeks was optioned to Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move.

Munoz (3-6) took the loss Friday as the Mariners were downed 2-1 by the Mets, giving up a run on two hits and a walk in the eighth inning. He struck out one.

Called upon to preserve a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the eighth, Munoz instead tossed only 15 of 27 pitches for strikes, uncorked two wild pitches and gave up two stolen bases, somehow emerging with only one run on his ledger. The right-hander has been more lucky than good since taking over as Seattle's primary closer -- in 15 innings since the beginning of August, he has a 2.40 ERA despite a 1.47 WHIP, converting nine of his 11 save chances.

Lange allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save against the White Sox on Friday. He struck out one.

Lange worked around a leadoff single and needed just nine pitches to close out the 4-2 victory. It was a strong rebound after he coughed up three runs and blew a save against the Yankees on Thursday, which ended a stretch of seven straight scoreless outings. He's now 20 for 24 in save chances while registering a 3.86 ERA across 53.2 frames.

Morgan (5-2) allowed two hits and struck out one over a scoreless inning to earn the win Friday over the Rays.

Morgan worked the seventh inning and became the pitcher of record when the Guardians pulled ahead in their half of that frame. The right-hander was fine in August with a 2.38 ERA and 16:5 K:BB over 11.1 innings while adding one hold. He's now at a 3.07 ERA despite a 1.40 WHIP and 61:21 K:BB through 55.2 innings this season. After the Guardians bolstered their bullpen via waiver claims Thursday, Morgan's chances for high-leverage opportunities are likely even slimmer than before.

Clase tossed a perfect ninth inning and earned a save over the Rays on Friday.

Clase forced three quick outs on 10 pitches to finish off the 3-2 victory. He's allowed just one run over his last 8.2 frames and has converted six straight save chances. Clase now has an MLB-leading 37 saves with a 2.90 ERA across 62 innings.

Sousa was designated for assignment by the Tigers on Friday.

The 28-year-old was just claimed off waivers from the Brewers on Tuesday, but the Tigers needed to clear out a 40-man roster spot for September call-up Miguel Diaz. Sousa owns a 9.00 ERA and 14:12 K:BB in 23 career innings at the major-league level.

Graveman (back) said he'll be available out of the bullpen Friday versus the Yankees, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Graveman was pulled from a relief appearance Wednesday against the Red Sox due to lower-back discomfort, but it has proven to be a minor issue. The 32-year-old setup man has posted a 2.40 ERA in 15 innings since the Astros acquired him from the White Sox ahead of the Aug. 1 trade deadline.

Oakland recalled Long from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

Long will give the Athletics some extra bullpen depth with rosters expanding from 26 to 28. The 28-year-old left-hander has posted a 5.27 ERA and 32:18 K:BB in 42.2 major-league innings this season.

Boston recalled Walter from Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Enmanuel Valdez is the other September call-up for the Red Sox. The 26-year-old Walter holds a 3.07 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB through 14.2 relief innings in the majors this season.

Toronto transferred Danner (oblique) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Friday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Danner suffered a left oblique strain in mid-August and it will wind up being a season-ending injury for the 24-year-old right-hander. He pitched well this summer in the upper minors and should be in the conversation for an Opening Day bullpen job leading into 2024.
