McCutchen went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Angels.

McCutchen gave the Pirates a 5-1 lead in the fourth inning Tuesday, delivering his second long ball of the campaign. The veteran outfielder's best fantasy days appear to be behind him, but he continues to occupy a premium spot in Pittsburgh's lineup. Through 66 plate appearances, McCutchen is slashing a serviceable .246/.348/.404 with three doubles, nine RBI, eight runs scored and one stolen base.

Reynolds went 3-for-5 with two RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Angels.

Tuesday marked Reynolds' third three-hit effort in his last four games. The switch-hitting outfielder got off to a very quiet start to the campaign, but he's looked far better at the plate over the past two weeks. Across his last 13 outings, Reynolds is batting .333 (17-for-51) with two home runs, two doubles, seven RBI and eight runs scored.

Polanco went 1-for-4 with one walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to Boston.

Polanco opened the scoring in the first inning, when he took a returning Brayan Bello deep to right-center field for a solo homer. It was Polanco's fourth homer of the year, and he's started the season slashing .339/.356/.589 with one stolen base, six runs scored and 13 RBI in 60 plate appearances.

Santander is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros.

Santander will head to the bench Tuesday after starting the first 23 games of the season for Toronto. The veteran outfielder has yet to get on track at the plate with a .569 OPS in 102 plate appearances, and he's especially struggled over the past four contests (1-for-15). Vladimir Guerrero will get a turn at designated hitter while Will Wagner makes a start at first base.

Stanton (elbows) took batting practice on the field Tuesday, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

It appears to be the first time he's taken on-field batting practice since he required three rounds of platelet-rich plasma injections to address torn tendons in both of his elbows. Stanton will eventually need a rehab assignment, and it's not clear when he might be ready for that.

Rice (elbow) will start at designated hitter and bat leadoff in Tuesday's game versus the Guardians.

Rice missed each of the previous two contests with a bruised left elbow, but he's ready to go for the second game of the series. He'll carry a .988 OPS into play Tuesday.

Steer is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

Steer started at first base the past two days for his first action in the field this season, but he'll take a seat Tuesday for the second time in Cincinnati's past four games. Jeimer Candelario will start at first base and bat sixth versus Miami righty Edward Cabrera.

Sheets went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Detroit on Monday.

For the first time this season, Sheets began the game in the top- third of San Diego's order -- he batted in the No. 2 slot behind Fernando Tatis. The veteran first baseman proved to be a good fit there, as he reached base twice, including with a solo shot to left-center in the fifth inning. Sheets' move up the order was largely due to the absence of Luis Arraez, who was placed on the 7-day concussion IL on Monday. Sheets has done plenty with the bat to deserve being pushed up higher in the lineup, though, as he's slashing .344/.388/.557 with three home runs, 12 RBI, seven runs and a stolen base through 67 plate appearances.

Flores went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 5-2 win against Milwaukee.

Flores went deep in the sixth inning, belting a solo shot to give the Giants their first lead. The veteran infielder continued his improbable power surge to start the season -- after hitting just four long balls over 242 plate appearances last year, he's belted seven homers (tied for fifth-most in the league) across 88 plate appearances so far in 2025. Flores is also tied for second in MLB with 24 RBI despite batting a modest .220 with no doubles or triples.

Manager Aaron Boone expects Rice (elbow) to be back in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Guardians, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

Rice has missed his club's last two matchups due to a bruised left elbow. The team will presumably give the first baseman another look Tuesday morning before making a final decision on his availability for the second game of the series.
