Collins went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Twins.

Collins' ninth-inning blast provided insurance in the win and was his second home run in as many days. The young catcher is currently riding a four-game hit streak (5-for-16) but batting just .179 since his callup.

Canha went 2-for-5 with an RBI double to lift the Athletics to victory against the Royals on Wednesday.

Canha stepped up to the plate during a scoreless 11th inning and doubled to shallow right, scoring Jurickson Profar to gift the A's the win. The 30-year-old outfielder is slashing .270/.394./.509 this season with 24 home runs and 14 doubles.

Pederson is not in the lineup Wednesday for the second straight day.

Pederson will be held out of the lineup for the second straight day with the Dodgers facing a southpaw for the second time in as many nights. The Dodgers have a team off day Thursday, but Pederson should be back in the lineup Friday -- and all weekend -- with a string of right-handed pitchers lined up to start for the Rockies.

Turner (ankle) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Turner was able to go through stretching exercises Wednesday, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com, but he is not ready to return to action just yet. The Dodgers will have a team off day Thursday, and there's a chance Turner could be back in the lineup when the club returns to action Friday night.

Martinez (groin) is not expected to return before the weekend, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Martinez left Tuesday's game early due to groin tightness. His absence Wednesday against the Giants is considered precautionary, but there's little reason for the Red Sox not to proceed with caution in what has seemingly become a lost season.

Dickerson (oblique) is in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, according to Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News.

Dickerson has not started a game since Sept. 3 because of his oblique injury, but he is ready to get back in the lineup after pinch hitting in the Giants' last two games. Dickerson will man left field and hit cleanup Wednesday night.

Vogelbach remains on the bench Wednesday in Pittsburgh.

The lack of a designated hitter under National League rules doesn't guarantee a day off for Vogelbach, as he's started 46 times at first base this season. However, Austin Nola will man the position Wednesday.

Stanton will be limited to a couple at-bats and won't play more than four or five innings Wednesday, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

It makes sense for the Yankees to ease Stanton back in his first game since late June. While Stanton won't be on the bench for his first game as previously expected, the effect will be essentially the same, as he'll play half a game before being cleared to play a full one. That could come as soon as Thursday, when he could spend the entire contest as the designated hitter.

Reyes (personal) remains out of the lineup Wednesday against the Tigers.

Reyes will be with the team Wednesday but won't play, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports. He could be back in the lineup as soon as Thursday. Carlos Santana will be the designated hitter Wednesday, with Jake Bauers starting at first base.
