Jorge Soler DH | LAA
Marlins' Jorge Soler: Out of Friday's lineup
Soler is not in Friday's lineup against the Padres, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
He is hitting .132/.233/.316 with two home runs, 14 strikeouts and five walks in his last 10 games. Jon Berti draws the start in left field, hitting sixth.

Bryce Harper DH | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Tallies fifth homer
Harper went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored Thursday against the Mets.
Harper recorded an RBI double in the first inning to open the scoring. He then went yard in the fourth inning to record his fifth homer of the season. Entering Thursday's game, Harper had recorded only one hit across his last 19 at-bats, though he's still managed a .343 wOBA and 122 wRC+ across his first 111 plate appearances of the season, including Thursday.

Mark Vientos DH | NYM
Mets' Mark Vientos: Struggling in Triple-A
Vientos is hitting just .167/.282/.303 with one homer across 21 games so far this season for Triple-A Syracuse.
After he hit 25 homers in just 83 games across Double-A and Triple-A last year, expectations were high for Vientos entering this season, but he simply hasn't delivered so far. If there's a bright side to be scraped from his stats, it's that he's drawn six walks in his last six games -- a big improvement from the four he managed in the first 15 -- but the 22-year-old's prospect luster has always stemmed from his massive raw power, and that's simply been missing in action. He's striking out at a career-high clip (32.1 percent), and his 66.7 percent groundball rate as well as his 23.1 percent flyball rate are well out of line with his career norms. It sure is hard to hit the ball over the fence often when you're hitting it on the ground two-thirds of the time. The good news is that Vientos has a lengthy minor-league track record of elevating the ball, so look for him to tweak his swing and get back to what he does best.

Andrew McCutchen DH | TEX
Brewers' Andrew McCutchen: Sitting out for day game
McCutchen is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.
He'll be one of three veterans sitting out in Thursday's series finale after starting in Wednesday's 18-4 win. McCutchen, who went 4-for-5 with a double, a walk, four RBI and two runs in the trouncing of Cincinnati, will be replaced at designated hitter by Keston Hiura.

Andrew McCutchen DH | TEX
Brewers' Andrew McCutchen: Four hits, four RBI in win
McCutchen went 4-for-5 with a double, four RBI and two runs in the 18-4 win over the Reds on Wednesday.
Breaking a three-game hitless streak in a big way, McCutchen ripped an RBI single off Vladimir Gutierrez in the bottom of the first inning before adding another single in the third frame and coming around to score on a Rowdy Tellez grand slam. The 35-year-old later walked and scored on Tellez's second long ball of the contest in the sixth and doubled in two runs in the seventh. He notched his fourth hit on an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning, scoring Lorenzo Cain and reaching four RBI on the day. McCutchen has operated as the Brewers' primary designated hitter in 2022, producing a .242 batting average with two homers and 14 RBI over 95 at-bats in 24 games.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Giants' Joc Pederson: Rejoins lineup
Pederson (groin) is starting in right field and batting leadoff Wednesday against the Dodgers, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Pederson appeared as a pinch hitter Tuesday, which was his first game action since April 27, and he will rejoin the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale. The 30-year-old ended up sitting out four games with a strained right groin but was able to avoid a stint on the injured list.

Cooper Hummel LF | HOU
Diamondbacks' Cooper Hummel: In lineup for third straight game
Hummel will serve as the Diamondbacks' designated hitter and No. 5 batter in Wednesday's game in Miami, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.
The righty-hitting Hummel has mostly served as a short-side platoon player since making Arizona's Opening Day roster, but he'll stick in the lineup against a right-handed starting pitcher (Elieser Hernandez) for the second straight game after also starting against righty Pablo Lopez in Monday's series opener. Hummel will be filling in Wednesday for Christian Walker, whose season-long struggles in addition to Seth Beer's ongoing slump has positioned Hummel to pick up more at-bats.

Mark Canha LF | TEX
Mets' Mark Canha: On bench Wednesday
Canha isn't starting Wednesday against Atlanta.
Canha started in the last three games and went 3-for-10 with a homer, two RBI and four strikeouts. Jeff McNeil will shift to left field while Luis Guillorme enters the lineup at second base.
