Wong is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Wong has a .649 OPS and 33.8 percent strikeout rate in 71 at-bats since the All-Star break and will hit the bench Tuesday for the fourth time in Boston's past six games. Reese McGuire will receive another look behind the plate with Nick Pivetta on the mound.

Fortes is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Astros.

Jacob Stallings will catch and bat eighth. Fortes started behind the plate in Monday's series opener and went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in the Marlins' 5-1 victory over Houston.

Contreras (hip) is out of the lineup Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Contreras made an early exit from Monday's series opener due to right hip tightness and will take at least one full day off for rest and treatment. Andrew Knizner is starting at catcher and batting seventh for the host Cardinals.

Perez (thumb) started at catcher and played seven innings in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over the River Cats on Monday, going 3-for-4 with an RBI single, two doubles and three runs.

Perez has now played a full game as a designated hitter and has nearly accomplished the same on defense during his four-game rehab assignment. Given he's also gone 5-for-8 with Monday's pair of two-baggers and two RBI in his last two contests, Perez could be deemed ready for activation without any further rehab games.

Moreno went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Rockies.

Moreno was in the starting lineup for the first time since being activated off the injured list Sunday. He will serve as the primary catcher the rest of the way following the organization's decision to designate Carson Kelly for assignment Sunday.

Bethancourt went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs and two RBI in Monday's 10-2 rout of the Giants.

Bethancourt knocked in a run with a single in the fifth inning and added a solo homer to left field in the seventh. He finished with his third three-hit performance of the campaign and swatted his first long ball since May 20, a span of 50 games. Bethancourt hit six homers over his first 21 contests this season but has gone deep just twice in 60 games since.

Perez went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a sacrifice fly in Monday's 7-6 win over the Mariners.

Perez got the scoring started with his first-inning blast and added a tying run on his sac fly in the ninth. The catcher has been all-or-nothing lately with three multi-hit efforts and three 0-fers in his last six games. Overall, he's at a .251/.295/.437 slash line with 19 homers, 53 RBI, 46 runs scored and 19 doubles through 107 contests this season.

Contreras left Monday's game against Oakland with right hip tightness, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Contreras had a noticeable limp on his way off the field, and he'll be considered day-to-day until the team sends him for additional testing. Andrew Knizner would be in line for more opportunities behind the plate if Contreras is forced to miss time.

Contreras was removed from Monday's game against the Athletics after suffering an undisclosed injury, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Contreras suffered the injury during the bottom of the third inning while tagging up from first to second base. He initially managed to convince the team trainer to remain in the game but was pulled to start the fourth. Andrew Knizner took over for Contreras behind the dish.

Sanchez is not in the lineup Monday versus the Orioles.

Luis Campusano will start at catcher and Garrett Cooper is serving as the Padres' designated hitter. Sanchez hasn't strung together many consecutive starts in recent weeks even though he boasts a 1.048 OPS with five home runs over his last nine games.
