Francisco Alvarez C | NYM
Mets' Francisco Alvarez: Season-best showing in rout
Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's 13-5 win over Atlanta.
It was the first multi-homer game of the season for Alvarez, who matched a season high in hits and set a season high in RBI in the process. After being demoted to the minor leagues for about a month of action, the slugging backstop seems to have discovered a rhythm at the dish. Alvarez is slashing .304/.418/.630 with eight extra-base hits and eight RBI covering his last 55 plate appearances (16 games), so he's worth considering in deeper fantasy leagues and two-catcher formats.

The Cubs activated Amaya (oblique) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Prior to his injury, Amaya was slashing .280/.313/.505 with four home runs, 25 RBI, 14 runs scored and a 4:22 BB:K across 100 plate appearances. Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Out of lineup Tuesday
Realmuto is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Keibert Ruiz C | WAS
Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Working out, but still in protocol
Ruiz remains in concussion protocol but is continuing to take part in baseball activities, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
While the fact that Ruiz hasn't been shut down from activity is encouraging, the Nationals haven't provided much information regarding the extent of his workouts, nor has the team provided any indication of how close he might be to exiting concussion protocol. Since Ruiz landed on the injured list July 8, the Nationals have turned to Riley Adams as their primary option at catcher.

Shea Langeliers C | ATH
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Clubs 24th homer
Langeliers went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in a loss against the Rays on Monday.
Langeliers produced the A's first run of the game with a 425-foot solo shot to center field in the fifth inning. It was the continuation of a huge second half for the backstop -- since the All-Star break, Langeliers is batting a robust .404 (38-for-94) with 12 home runs, 22 RBI, 22 runs and a stolen base over 23 contests. While he's always been viewed as having big-time power, Langeliers struggled with strikeouts over his first three campaigns and didn't bat higher than .224 in any regular season. However, he's up to a .276 batting average this year due in part to a dramatic decrease in punchouts -- his 18.2 percent strikeout rate is nine points lower than his previous season-best mark of 27.2 percent.

Freddy Fermin C | SD
Padres' Freddy Fermin: Smacks first homer as Padre
Fermin went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 4-1 win against San Francisco.
Fermin's hit in the contest was a two-run shot to left field in the seventh inning that gave San Diego a 4-1 lead. The long ball was his first since joining the Padres via trade July 31. Through 475 total plate appearances in 114 games, the 35-year-old is slashing .248/.394/.454 with 68 RBI and 39 runs scored.

Carlos Narvaez C | BOS
Red Sox's Carlos Narvaez: Back in action Monday
Narvaez (knee) will start at catcher and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Astros.
As expected, Narvaez will rejoin the starting nine for the first time since last Tuesday after a sore left knee kept him out of the lineup for each of the last four games. The Red Sox activated waiver pickup Ali Sanchez on Monday to provide the team with a third option at catcher, but Narvaez is expected to see the bulk of the starts behind the plate over both Sanchez and Connor Wong so long as his knee presents no issues for him moving forward.
