Garver is not in the lineup Saturday against the Brewers.

Since Jason Castro went down with a season-ending knee injury May 5, Garver has started six times, with Saturday's starter Bobby Wilson getting the nod in seven games. The playing time breakdown between the pair is not yet clear, though Garver's .254/.309/.413 line would seem to give him an edge over Wilson's .158/.182/.368.

Realmuto is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Braves, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

Realmuto was out of the lineup Thursday as well, but the Marlins don't have an off day until next Thursday. Bryan Holaday will take over behind the plate and bat eighth for Miami.

Vazquez is not in the lineup Saturday against Baltimore, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Vazquez has held onto his starting job despite a .191/.238/.235 line through 123 plate appearances. He's always been a glove-first catcher, but no amount of defensive excellence is enough to make a player with that slash line a positive contributor. Sandy Leon, who starts Saturday, is not faring much better, hitting just .193/.241/.255, so Vazquez seems to have a safe job for now, though his fantasy value will remain limited unless he turns things around at the plate.

The Mets recalled Nido from Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.

Nido was sent to Las Vegas after the Mets' acquisition of Devin Mesoraco earlier in May, but returns to the team with Jose Lobaton now designated for assignment. Nido split catching duties with Lobaton in his previous major-league stint and Mesoraco seems likely to serve as primary catcher this time around, although Nido will still likely have some opportunities.

Contreras is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against Cincinnati.

Contreras went 3-for-6 with one RBI and one run scored during Friday's series opener and will take a seat in favor of Victor Caratini, who will catch Kyle Hendricks and bat sixth in the matinee. Expect to see Contreras back behind the plate for Game 2.

Contreras has been absurd at the plate lately, as he's 15-for-30 over his past eight games and has had three or more hits in four of those games. For the season, the 25-year-old catcher is slashing a healthy .287/.366/.503, all of which would be new career highs if they hold up.

Perez went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and three RBI as the Royals topped the Yankees 5-2 on Friday.

Perez had seen his average dip to .244 after a brief 0-for-11 skid, but he broke out of that with his sixth long ball of the season, moving his OPS back up to .802 since his return to action from the disabled list. Perez's proven track record as a power-hitting catcher as well as his reliably heavy workload should allow him to continue functioning as one of the better fantasy options at the position throughout the season.

Garver is out of the lineup versus the Brewers on Friday.

Garver will receive a breather in favor of Bobby Wilson after going 1-for-4 with a run scored during Wednesday's series finale against St. Louis. Over 21 games this year, Garver is hitting .254/.309/.413 with two home runs and six RBI.

Knizner was moved up to Triple-A Memphis on Thursday, Rob Rains of Stlsportspage.com reports.

Knizner will take the next step in his professional career after beginning the 2018 season hitting .333/.412/.467 with 18 RBI in 27 games for Double-A Springfield. Though he has played well enough to deserve this promotion, the move occurred due to the limited catching availability in the Cardinals' organization at the present time. With Yadier Molina (groin) and Carson Kelly (hamstring) on the DL, Francisco Pena and Steve Baron are both on the major-league roster, so Knizner will man the backstop for Memphis moving forward.

Trevino (quadriceps) has gone 8-for-17 with a pair of home runs and a triple since being reinstated from the 7-day disabled list at Double-A Frisco on May 11.

Trevino was sidelined for just under two weeks with the right quad strain. The 25-year-old possesses a spot on Texas' 40-man roster, but it's unlikely he'll be promoted to the majors before September unless one of the top two catchers in the organization (Robinson Chirinos and Carlos Perez) misses time.
