Hicks went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, two additional RBI and an additional run scored in Wednesday's win over the White Sox.

Hicks is enjoying an excellent start to the season, hitting safely in four of his first five games while already leaving the yard on three occasions. With three homers, 12 RBI and eight runs scored in 19 plate appearances through five games, Hicks should cool down sooner rather than later. However, it wouldn't be a stretch to call him one of the hottest bats in the National League over the first week of the regular season.

Haase signed a minor-league contract with the Giants on Wednesday.

Haase parted ways with the Giants after posting a .911 OPS over 18 games in the Cactus League, but he'll now return to the organization and provide depth at Triple-A Sacramento. He'd likely be called up to work as a backup in San Francisco if Patrick Bailey or Daniel Susac has to miss time.

Basallo went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 8-3 win over the Rangers.

The 21-year-old slugger helped chase Nathan Eovaldi from the game when he led off the fifth inning by launching a fastball 437 feet over the wall in center field. It was Basallo's first homer and first RBI of the season in his fifth game, and he's batting .211 (4-for-19) in the early going with a 2:6 BB:K.

Baldwin went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a run scored and four RBI in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the A's.

The second-year backstop continues to swing a hot bat, fueling Atlanta's offense Wednesday with a two-run single in the second inning and a two-run double in the fourth. Baldwin has started all six games in the season's first week, four at catcher and two at DH, and he's hit second in the order against both lefties and righties. During that hot streak, he's batting .318 (7-for-22) with three homers, six runs and seven RBI.

Langeliers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to Atlanta.

The 28-year-old slugger broke up Chris Sale's early bid for a perfect game by lifting a fastball into the left-field bullpen at Truist Park with two outs in the fourth inning. It was Langeliers' fifth homer in six games, a power surge that has fueled a stunning .375/.400/1.000 slash line with eight RBI through the first week of the season.

Caratini will start at first base and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Caratini will be included in the lineup for the third game in a row, with two starts coming at first base and one at catcher. With the Twins facing a lefty starter (Noah Cameron) for the second straight game, Caratini will fill in at first base for the left-handed-hitting Kody Clemens, who should continue to occupy the large side of a platoon moving forward. Caratini's playing time versus right-handed pitching will likely be more sporadic, but he'll see occasional starts against them either at catcher or designated hitter.

O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

After catching each of the first two games of the series, O'Hoppe will receive a routine breather for a day game Wednesday. Travis d'Arnaud will handle catching duties for the Angels.

Narvaez was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros for non-injury reasons, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Connor Wong will start at catcher for the second day in a row and the third time in four games, but Narvaez doesn't appear to be dealing with any sort of health-related concern. Instead, manager Alex Cora hinted that Narvaez's absence might be a matter of discipline, as the skipper noted that he would keep the reason as to why Narvaez was scratched between himself and the catcher. After undergoing surgery in October to repair the meniscus in his left knee, Narvaez enjoyed a healthy spring training and had recorded four hits in nine at-bats through his first three games of the season.

Feduccia is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Feduccia had been included in the starting nine in the Rays' first two matchups of the season against right-handed starters, but he'll end up hitting the bench Wednesday for the third game in a row. Two of those absences have come against righties, which suggests that the Rays aren't planning to go with a hard platoon of the left-handed-hitting Feduccia and the right-handed-hitting Nick Fortes at catcher.

Ramirez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

Liam Hicks will handle catching duties for the Marlins while Ramirez receives his first breather of the season. While starting in each of Miami's first five games, Ramirez went 3-for-16 with a double, four walks, two runs and a stolen base.
