Barnhart is not in Sunday's lineup against the Yankees.

It's not surprising to see Barnhart head to the bench given the 11:35 AM start time. Eric Haase will get the start behind the dish, hitting eighth.

Realmuto went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs and two RBI in a 7-2 win against the Angels on Saturday.

Realmuto doubled home two runs and scored as part of a five-run first inning and added two-baggers in the second and eight, scoring again following the latter. The three-hit game was just the second for the 31-year-old and Realmuto's first with multiple extra-base hits as his .136 isolated power is on pace to be his lowest of any full season since 2016. His .260/.337/.396 slash line would be his worst marks since his rookie season.

Perez went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Astros.

Perez was just 1-for-23 in six games since he returned from the injured list due to a sprained left thumb. He busted a five-game hitless stretch and a nine-game homer drought in the sixth inning, and he added an RBI double to pad the Royals' lead during their four-run eighth. The catcher was back behind the dish Saturday after serving as the designated hitter Friday. Overall, he has a .190/.228/.374 slash line with seven homers, 19 RBI, 16 runs scored and nine doubles across 171 plate appearances. With MJ Melendez on the big-league roster, Perez may be able to rest his ailing thumb as the DH or with the occasional start at first base until he's feeling closer to 100 percent.

McCann (wrist) is about a month away from returning, according to manager Buck Showalter, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

He will begin taking dry swings within the next couple of days and seems to be ramping up slowly. In the meantime, Tomas Nido and Patrick Mazeika will serve as the Mets' catchers.

D'Arnaud is not in Saturday's lineup against the Rockies.

He hit a couple home runs in the first game of the series and went 0-for-3 Friday. William Contreras will start behind the dish and bat seventh. Even with Contreras' emergence this season, d'Arnaud has still been in the lineup in seven of the last 10 games.

Smith is not in Saturday's lineup against the Mets.

Smith is 1-for-23 with a home run, five walks and five strikeouts over his last seven games. Austin Barnes will start behind the dish and hit eighth.

Heim isn't starting Saturday's game against Seattle.

Heim started in the last two games and went 3-for-8 with two doubles and two strikeouts. The 26-year-old will get a day off while Sam Huff starts behind the plate and bats fifth.

Casali isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Marlins, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.

Casali went 0-for-5 with five strikeouts in Friday's matchup against Miami, and he'll be out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games. Joey Bart will start behind the dish and bat ninth.

Caratini isn't starting Saturday against the Padres.

Caratini started in the last two games and went 0-for-4 with a run, a walk and a strikeout. Alex Jackson will start behind the plate and bat ninth Saturday.

Nola isn't starting Saturday against the Brewers.

Nola has alternated starts behind the dish over the last week, and he'll take a seat after going 0-for-3 with a run, a walk and two strikeouts in Friday's win over Milwaukee. Jorge Alfaro will start behind the plate and bat fifth.
