Orioles' Yohel Pozo: Exits early with injury
Pozo (hand) exited Tuesday's contest against the Twins in the third inning, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Pozo had his glove knocked off his left hand on a swing by Twins designated hitter Josh Bell, and the catcher appeared to be in a lot of pain. To add insult to injury, Pozo was called for catcher interference, and Bell was awarded first base. Carlos Narvaez replaced Pozo in the contest, and more information on 29-year-old's status will likely be provided in the near future.

Adley Rutschman C | BOS
Red Sox's Adley Rutschman: Starting and batting third
The Red Sox reinstated Rutschman (wrist) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday and added him to the active roster, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
Rutschman is making his Red Sox debut Tuesday as the starting catcher while batting third. The catcher has been out with wrist inflammation since July 19, which has kept him from playing for his new team after Boston acquired him Aug. 3. In corresponding moves Tuesday, the Red Sox designated Jake Rogers for assignment and transferred Isiah Kiner-Falefa (forearm) to the 60-day injured list.

Zach Morgan C | SF
Giants' Zach Morgan: Back in minors
The Giants optioned Morgan to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The Giants promoted Morgan from Triple-A on Monday once Daniel Susac (knee) landed on the injured list, but the former's time with the big club will come to an end after just one day to make room for Andrew Knizner. Morgan has slashed .241/.323/.325 across 96 plate appearances since moving to Triple-A in May and is likely to remain there for the remainder of the season.

Jake Rogers C | CHW
Red Sox's Jake Rogers: Booted off 40-man roster
Boston designated Rogers for assignment on Tuesday.
With Adley Rutschman (wrist) making his return from the 10-day injured list, the Red Sox opted to keep Connor Wong around as their No. 2 catcher over Rogers. Acquired Aug. 3 along with Rutschman in a deal with the Orioles, Rogers played in just two games for Boston, going 3-for-6 with two doubles, a walk, an RBI and four runs. The 31-year-old shouldn't have much trouble finding work elsewhere with a team in need of defensive-minded backup catcher.

Liranzo was on the shelf for nearly four weeks in July after suffering a left finger laceration. He's struggled a bit at the dish since being activated but is still producing at just above the league-average level (.763 OPS, 103 wRC+) over 244 plate appearances at Double-A on the season.
