  • Braves' Drake Baldwin: Continuing to split reps

Baldwin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Baldwin and Sean Muphy have alternated starts behind the plate over the past 10 games, and that trend will continue after Baldwin went 1-for-4 with a strikeout in Saturday's contest. Murphy will bat sixth and do the catching for righty Spencer Strider in Sunday's series finale.

  • Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Resting Sunday

Realmuto is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

After sitting out Thursday's 9-1 loss to Toronto while recovering from a groin issue, Realmuto has started behind the plate in the last two contests, going 1-for-7 with a double and a run scored. He'll receive a breather for Sunday's day game, paving the way for Rafael Marchan to pick up a start.

  • Keibert Ruiz C | WAS

Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Resting for series finale

Ruiz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Ruiz will take a seat for the day game after he went 0-for-3 in Saturday's 5-0 loss. Riley Adams will check in for Ruiz behind the dish.

  • Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: On bench again Sunday

Moreno (hand) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Moreno is on the bench for a second straight day after he departed Friday's contest after being struck in the right hand by a wild pitch. The 25-year-old already had X-rays come back negative and should continue to be considered day-to-day, with Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona relaying that Moreno will be available to back up Jose Herrera on Sunday. Moreno could make his return to the starting nine as soon as the Diamondbacks' next game Monday versus the Mariners.

  • Elias Diaz C | SD

Padres' Elias Diaz: Losing work to Maldonado

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Diaz will take a seat for the second time in the series and the fourth time in the past six contests. Martin Maldonado appears to have at least temporarily moved ahead of him on the depth chart, though Diaz could reclaim primary catching duties if his bat heats up.

  • Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Getting rest Sunday

Stephenson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Stephenson had started 11 straight games at either catcher or designated hitter, so he was overdue for a day off. Jose Trevino will be behind the plate Sunday, while Gavin Lux handles DH duties.

  • Mets' Hayden Senger: Joins taxi squad

Senger is with the Mets in Colorado as a member of the taxi squad, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Francisco Alvarez is awaiting the birth of his child and could be away from the team at any point in the next few days. Senger will be set to briefly replace him on the active roster.

  • Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Collects three hits

Stephenson went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI single and a run scored in Saturday's 13-1 win over Arizona.

Stephenson contributed to the Reds' eight-run fourth frame with an RBI single that brought Will Benson home. It's the third three-hit game of the season for Stephenson, all of which have come over his last 11 outings. Over that span, he has gone 14-for-42 (.333) with four home runs and 10 RBI.

  • Henry Davis C | PIT

Pirates' Henry Davis: Smacks another homer

Davis went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 2-1 win over Philadelphia.

Davis gave the Pirates the lead for good in the seventh inning, when he took Ranger Suarez deep to left-center field for a solo homer. Davis has gone long in back-to-back games for the first time in his career, and he has been hot at the plate of late with a .300 batting average (12-for-40) with two doubles, three home runs and eight RBI over his last 13 games. He'll continue to see a heavy workload as the Pirates' top catcher with Joey Bart (concussion) and Endy Rodriguez (elbow) both on the injured list.

  • Diamondbacks' Aramis Garcia: Promoted to majors

The Diamondbacks selected Garcia's contract from Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Garcia signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks in November, and in Triple-A this season he is slashing .273/.417/.582 with 10 home runs and 20 RBI in 139 plate appearances. If Gabriel Moreno (hand) is on the shelf for an extended period of time, Garcia would likely serve as Arizona's backup catcher behind Jose Herrera.
