Austin Barnes C | NYM
Dodgers' Austin Barnes: Ejected Sunday
Barnes was ejected from Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks in the bottom of the fifth inning for arguing with the home plate umpire, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Barnes went 0-for-2 to begin Sunday's matchup and was tossed in the fifth inning since he wasn't happy with the strike zone while behind the plate. It seems unlikely that the ejection will result in further discipline, so the 33-year-old should remain available as the Dodgers' No. 2 catcher moving forward.

Blake Sabol C | BOS
Giants' Blake Sabol: Getting Sunday off
Sabol is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
The lefty-hitting Sabol will check out of the lineup for the first time this season while southpaw Kris Bubic takes the bump for Kansas City. Sabol, who is likely to see most of his time at catcher rather than left field in the short term while both Joey Bart (back) and Roberto Perez (shoulder) are on the injured list, will be replaced behind the dish by Austin Wynns in the series finale.

Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Taking seat Sunday
Moreno is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
After catching in each of Arizona's last three games and going 4-for-12 with two doubles and two RBI, Moreno will get a breather for the series finale. Jose Herrera will handle catching duties in Moreno's stead.

Will Smith C | LAD
Dodgers' Will Smith: Out of lineup Sunday
Smith is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Smith gets Sunday off with Austin Barnes getting the nod behind the plate. The fomer has been excellent in his first seven games of the year with three homers and a 1.269 OPS over 27 at-bats.

Yan Gomes C | CHC
Cubs' Yan Gomes: Hits first home run
Gomes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Rangers.
Gomes hit his first home run of the season in the eighth inning. It's been a struggle so far for the veteran catcher, as he's batting just .118 across five games. He's splitting time with Tucker Barnhart, who's seen action in three games so far. Neither backstop has a ton of fantasy appeal outside of deeper two-catcher formats.

Jacob Stallings C | BAL
Marlins' Jacob Stallings: Out of lineup again Sunday
Stallings (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Stallings was scratched from the lineup Saturday with back tightness, and he won't return for the series finale against the Mets. Nick Fortes gets the start behind the plate in his absence.

Chadwick Tromp C | ATL
Braves' Chadwick Tromp: Recalled from Triple-A
Atlanta recalled Tromp from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
Tromp replaces Travis d'Arnaud on the roster after d'Arnaud was placed on the 7-day injured list with a concussion. Tromp will operate as Sean Murphy's backup while he's with Atlanta.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: Goes on 7-day IL
Atlanta placed d'Arnaud (concussion) on the 7-day injured list Sunday.
Chadwick Tromp was called up from Triple-A Gwinnett to replace d'Arnaud as the No. 2 catcher behind Sean Murphy. Despite entering the season in a projected backup role, d'Arnaud had played on a near-everyday basis while moving between catcher and designated hitter, slashing .333/.333/.424 while starting in all but one of Atlanta's first nine games. While d'Arnaud is sidelined for the next week, Murphy will see an even larger share of the reps behind the dish, and Marcell Ozuna should occupy the DH spot on a near-everyday basis.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: Expected to go on concussion IL
Atlanta manager Brian Snitker told reporters after Saturday's loss to the Padres that d'Arnaud is expected to go on the 7-day concussion IL, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
The concussion occurred after d'Arnaud collided with Rougned Odor at home plate. The 34-year-old backstop will miss at least a week while recovering, but there's no guarantee he'll be ready to return after that week. Sean Murphy will see the majority of playing time behind the plate while he recovers.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: Leaves with potential injury
D'Arnaud left Saturday's game against the Padres with a potential injury, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
The backstop was involved in two collisions at home plate and was replaced by Sean Murphy. Atlanta hasn't given an update on d'Arnaud's condition as of yet, and it's likely due to the 34-year-old undergoing tests.
