Campusano is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

Padres' Luis Campusano: Drives in three runs
Campusano went 2-for-4 with a three-run double in Monday's win over the Cubs.
Campusano capped off a six-run sixth inning for the Padres with his bases-clearing double. It would end up being the deciding factor in the victory. While he has just five hits over his last seven games, three of them have gone for extra bases, resulting in eight RBI over that span. Campusano is now slashing .274/.311/.407 with 11 extra-base knocks through 119 plate appearances this season.

Francisco Alvarez C | NYM
Mets' Francisco Alvarez: Gets stitches removed
Alvarez had the stitches removed Monday from his surgically repaired left thumb, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Alvarez underwent surgery April 23 to address a torn UCL in the thumb on his glove hand. At the time his surgery was performed, the Mets estimated that Alvarez would need eight weeks to make a full recovery, so he appears unlikely to return from the injured list until around late June. A more precise target date for his return should come into focus once he resumes taking batting practice and performing defensive drills.

Tom Murphy C | SF
Giants' Tom Murphy: Out 4-to-6 weeks
Giants manager Bob Melvin said Monday that Murphy is expected to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks after being diagnosed with a left knee sprain, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Murphy suffered the injury during Saturday's game versus the Phillies and landed on the 10-day injured list Sunday. With Patrick Bailey (concussion) on the 7-day IL at least for the next few days, the Giants are down to Blake Sabol and Jakson Reetz as their catching duo.

Yasmani Grandal C | PIT
Pirates' Yasmani Grandal: Heads to bench Monday
Grandal is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.
After being activated from the 10-day injured list over the weekend, Grandal started behind the plate Saturday and Sunday against the Rockies, going 1-for-7 between those contests. Now that he's moved past the bout with plantar fasciitis that sidelined him from the first five weeks of the season, Grandal is expected to serve as the Pirates' No. 1 catcher, though backup Joey Bart should still factor into the equation if he continues to swing a hot bat. Bart will be behind the dish Monday while Grandal rests.

J.T. Realmuto C | PHI
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Tallies three hits in win
Realmuto went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's win over the Giants.
Realmuto slid into the No. 2 spot in the order with Trea Turner (hamstring) recently being placed on the injured list. He singled in the third and came home on Bryce Harper's three-run homer and would wind up notching two more base hits before his night was over. Sunday was the first three-hit effort of the season for Realmuto and his seventh multi-hit game. For the year, he's now slashing .259/.315/.431 with five homers, 14 RBI, 18 runs and a 9:34 BB:K in 127 plate appearances.

Jakson Reetz C | SEA
Giants' Jakson Reetz: Homers as pinch hitter
Reetz went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Phillies.
Reetz roped a solo shot off Jose Alvarado in the ninth to bring the Giants within a run, but their comeback attempt would ultimately fall short. It was his first major-league at-bat since 2021 and he should receive some additional looks while the team waits for Patrick Bailey (concussion) & Tom Murphy (knee) to return from their respective injuries.
