Dodgers activate Yasmani Grandal from DL, send down Chris Heisey
The Dodgers announced that catcher Yasmani Grandal was activated from the seven-day disabled list prior to Saturday's game.
Grandal suffered a concussion, but he completed a minor league injury rehab assignment and is ready to return to the team.
"Yasmani gives us a switch-hitter in the middle who has given us some production and gives us a bigger bat in the middle of the order," manager Don Mattingly said, per MLB.com.
To make room for Grandal, the Dodgers sent outfielder Chris Heisey to Triple-A. Heisey hit .111 in five games with the team.

Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud suffered a setback on his rehab assignment, which will delay his return to the lineup.
He took himself out of a rehab game Thursday for Class A St. Lucie after feeling pain in his wrist. He saw a hand specialist, who diagnosed the injury as a bone bruise in his right hand.
“He felt it swinging in his third at-bat last night so, not knowing what it was, took himself out,” general manager Sandy Alderson said, per the New York Daily News.
Earlier Friday, manager Terry Collins said d'Arnaud would need 20-25 at-bats on his rehab assignment before coming off the disabled list. He is 0 for 6 with one RBI, one walk and one strikeout through his first two games with Class A St. Lucie.

Diamondbacks' Tuffy Gosewisch suffers jammed left knee
Diamondbacks catcher Tuffy Gosewisch suffered a jammed left knee on a play at first base in Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, the team announced.
Gosewisch appeared to trip over the bag at first base while trying to beat a tag, and fell to the ground, where he was holding his knee and grimacing in pain. He had to be helped to the dugout and finished the night 0 for 3.
"It looks OK," manager Chip Hale said of the knee, per FOX Sports Arizona. "He will have an MRI tomorrow. We'll have to make a decision Friday."
The Diamondbacks' only other catcher on the active roster is Jordan Pacheco, who replaced Gosewisch in the game. If Gosewisch needs to miss an extended period of time, Jarrod Saltalamacchia is an option at Triple-A after being signed earlier this month.
