Pirates catcher Chris Stewart went 3 for 4 with three doubles in his team's 4-3 win over the Giants on Monday.
It was the 12th start of the season for Stewart, who doubled his extra-base total on the season in a single game. He has hit .296/.304/.407 with six RBI in 54 at-bats.

Diamondbacks C Tuffy Gosewisch needs surgery for torn ACL
Diamondbacks catcher Tuffy Gosewisch has been diagnosed with a fully torn ACL, the club announced early Tuesday morning.
Gosewisch's injury was initially considered a jammed knee before an MRI revealed a tear. He will need to have surgery to repair the damage to the ligament.
This injury will end Gosewisch's season. He finishes the year with a slash line of .211/.261/.281.

Mets C Travis d'Arnaud could re-start rehab games this week
Mets manager Terry Collins said he is hopeful that catcher Travis d'Arnaud will be able to re-start his minor-league rehab assignment this week, according to ESPN New York.
D'Arnaud, recovering from a fractured pinky recently had a setback when he sustained a separate hand injury.

Padres C Derek Norris gets night off against Mets
Padres catcher Derek Norris is getting the night off as he's not in Monday's lineup against the Mets.
Austin Hedges, batting eighth, is relpacing Norris behind the dish. Second baseman Cory Spangenberg is back in the lineup and hitting second.
With the Padres facing right-handed pitcher Jacob deGrom, outfielder Will Venable is batting leadoff.

1B Lucas Duda (knee) not in Mets' lineup
Mets first baseman Lucas Duda is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.
Duda was hit by a pitch in the left knee in Sunday's loss to the Marlins. Duda's knee was feeling sore on Monday, which is why he's getting the night off. With Duda out, Michael Cuddyer will play first base and bat fourth.
"I just kind of got hit in a funny spot," Duda said, per MLB.com. "I'll take [Monday] and play [Tuesday]."
With Cuddyer at first, Darrell Ceciliani draws a start in left field. After getting a day off on Sunday, catcher Kevin Plawecki returns to the lineup and will hit eighth.

Brewers C Martin Maldonado caps strong game with walk-off homer
Brewers catcher Martin Maldonado hit a walk-off home run in the 17th inning to lift his team past the Diamondbacks 7-6 on Sunday.
''I was really tired, so I was happy to end the game like that,'' he said.
Maldonado went 4 for 6 with two doubles, two walks, two RBI and a home run.
Maldonado's performance came during an awful slump at the plate. In his last five games prior to Sunday, Maldonado hit .071/.133/.205 with just one hit in 14 at-bats.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia gets second start for Diamondbacks
Catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia is getting his second start as a member of the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
Saltalamacchia was recently called up following Tuffy Gosewisch (knee) going on the disabled list. Saltalamacchia will hit seventh in the lineup against the Brewers.
Outfielder Ender Inciarte has the day off, with the three starting outfielders being A.J. Pollock, David Peralta and Mark Trumbo. Third baseman Yasmany Tomas is back in the starting lineup.

Mets' Mayberry and Recker in lineup, Cuddyer and Plawecki out
Mets outfielder John Mayberry and catcher Anthony Recker will start in Sunday's game against the Marlins.
Mayberry is starting in place of Michael Cuddyer and Recker is in the lineup for Kevin Plawecki. Recker is hitting .161 this season and Mayberry is batting .152. Both Cuddyer and Plawecki appear to be getting days off.
Mayberry is hitting sith and Recker is batting eighth.

Reds C Tucker Barnhart starting Sunday against Nationals
Reds catcher Tucker Barnhart received the nod to start in Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Barnhart is filling in for catcher Brayan Pena, who was in Saturday's starting lineup. Barnhart will bat in the seventh spot.
Skip Schumaker is starting in left field instead of Marlon Byrd.

Dodgers C Yasmani Grandal crushes three-run home run
Fresh off of the 7-day concussion disabled list, Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal capped off a four-run fourth inning with a three-run home run in Saturday's win over the Cardinals. Grandal's blast, his fifth of the season, came off St. Louis starter Michael Wacha and put the Dodgers up 4-1.
Grandal had been out since May 23 with concussion symptoms, but was finally able to return on Saturday. He's now hitting at a .292 clip on the season.
