Sandy Leon to join the Nationals
Nationals catcher Sandy Leon will rejoin the major-league team after Wilson Ramos was placed on the disabled list, MLB.com reports.
Leon spent some time with the Nationals earlier this season, hitting .182/.265/.273 with one home run and three RBI in 44 at-bats. He has hit .294/.390/.392 with six RBI in 51 at-bats with Triple-A Syracuse.

The Mets optioned catcher Travis d'Arnaud to Triple-A Las Vegas after Saturday's game, the team announced.
The rookie catcher didn't play Saturday, but he was just 1 for 16 in six June games and only 3 for 26 with no extra-base hits since returning from the disabled list. He owns a .180/.271/.273 line with three home runs and nine RBI in 128 at-bats. He'll look to find his offensive game in favorable conditions in Triple-A.

Justin Bour, Jacob Realmuto impress in debuts
The Marlins got big performances out of two rookies Thursday against the Rays, as catcher Jacob Realmuto and first baseman Justin Bour combined for four hits in their respective major-league debuts in an 11-6 win.
Realmuto stood out, despite batting eighth in his first game. He drove in three runs with a 2-for-4 game, with one RBI single in the fourth and another in the sixth inning. Bour batted ahead of him and drove in one run of his own, while finishing the game 2 for 5.

Jacob Realmuto on his way up
Marlins catcher Jacob Realmuto has been called up from the minors Sunday.
Realmuto will replace Jarrod Saltalamacchia on the active roster. Saltalamacchia was placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list. Realmuto is hitting .301 in 173 at-bats in Triple-A.

It's assumed to be a regular day of rest for Grandal. Rene Rivera received the start in Grandal's place. Through 111 at-bats, Grandal is hitting .189 at-bats.

Devin Mesoraco lifts Reds with 2 HR, 5 RBI
Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco basically single-handedly won Friday's game against the Diamondbacks, as he drove in five runs in a 6-4 win.
Mesoraco clubbed a pair of home runs in the game, with the big blow coming on a grand slam in the second inning. He added an insurance run in the ninth with his solo home run, as he finished the game 2 for 4.
Mesoraco is off to a fantastic start to the season, hitting .355 with eight home runs and 25 RBI in 26 games. He is one home run shy of his career-high, set in 2013.

Travis d'Arnaud set to start Thursday
As expected, Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud has been activated off the 7-day concussion disabled list and is in the lineup for the Thursday night game in Philadelphia.
d'arnaud had been slumping before going down. He had just four hits in his previous 27 at-bats to further weaken what is now a .196 average.

Yasmani Grandal back in lineup Wednesday
Padres catcher Yasmani Grandal is in the starting lineup and batting eighth in Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Grandal left Tuesday's game with a hand injury after being hit by a ball while catching, but his X-rays came back clean and the injury won't cost him any time. He has hit .194/.279/.389 with five home runs and 15 RBI in 108 at-bats.

Johnny Monell heading to Dodgers organization
The Dodgers have acquired catcher Johnny Monell from the Orioles, a source has told SB Nation. What was provided in return has yet to be revealed.
The 28-year-old Monell has struggled at Triple-A Norfolk this season. He owns a stat line of .209/.280/286. He has earned just eight at-bats in the major leagues during his career.
He has been assigned to Triple-A Albuquerque, according to the Baltimore Sun.
