Jansen went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's victory over the White Sox.

Jansen gave the Blue Jays a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the third with a three-run homer off White Sox starter Michael Kopech. It was the catcher's seventh home run of the season across just 16 appearances. Jansen is currently slashing .283/.340/.761 -- which would all be career highs -- and is well on his way to eclipsing his career-high 13 home runs, which he set during the 2019 campaign.

Jeffers will sit out Thursday's series finale versus the Tigers.

Jeffers will take a seat after starting two straight, going 0-for-5 with a walk in those contests. Gary Sanchez will get the start behind the plate and bat sixth as the Twins face Alex Faedo on the mound.

Barnhart is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins.

The Tigers are closing their series with Minnesota with a day game, so Barnhart will receive a respite after he was behind the plate for Wednesday night's 5-0 win. Eric Haase receives the starting nod at catcher.

Bethancourt's blast was his first homer of the season and first extra-base hit since May 14, and the 30-year-old is slashing .229/.282/.323 through 104 plate appearances since joining the A's.

Huff went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and two walks in Wednesday's loss to Tampa Bay.

Huff continues to reach base at a high clip -- with Wednesday's performance, his season slash line sits at .386/.413/.500. He slugged his first homer of the campaign in the contest after hitting three long balls over only 31 at-bats in 2020. Huff's impressive hitting is forcing the Rangers to get his bat in the lineup, and he has made starts at first base, catcher and designated hitter with that purpose in mind.

Stassi is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

After starting behind the plate in three of the Angels' last four games, Stassi will get a rest day while Kurt Suzuki takes over catching duties. Stassi closed out May with a .256/.333/.419 slash line to go with two home runs, seven runs and five RBI, but he was limited to just 12 games on the month due to a stint on the COVID-19-related injured list.

Heim isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Heim started in the last three games but went just 1-for-12 with a solo home run and four strikeouts. Sam Huff will start behind the plate and bat sixth.

McGuire will start at catcher and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

He'll be rewarded with his third start in a row after going 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a run and an RBI in Tuesday's 6-5 win. Yasmani Grandal is in a 1-for-24 slump at the plate over his last six games and will take a seat Wednesday, but he still looks to be entrenched as Chicago's No. 1 catcher.

Grandal is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Even though Grandal served as the White Sox's designated hitter the past two games rather than starting behind the plate, he'll still receive a maintenance day Wednesday. Grandal's move to the bench may also have something to do with his ongoing slump at the plate; over his last six games, he's gone 1-for-24 with 11 strikeouts and four walks.

Rutschman is not starting in Wednesday's matchup against the Mariners, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Rutschman will take a seat after starting four games in a row, going 2-for-14 with a double and a run in those contests. Robinson Chirinos will take over behind the plate and bat eighth in Wednesday's matchup.
