Carlos Narvaez C | BOS
Red Sox's Carlos Narvaez: Sitting third straight
Narvaez isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Tigers, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
Narvaez will miss a third consecutive start Saturday after posting a .409 OPS through his first 12 games of the season. Connor Wong, on the other hand, owns a 1.006 OPS through eight games and may have finally surpassed Narvaez as Boston's primary starter at catcher.

Austin Wells C | NYY
Yankees' Austin Wells: Sitting Saturday
Wells isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.
Wells owns just a .284 OPS through 18 plate appearances against lefties this season, so he'll move to the bench Saturday with Noah Cameron on the mound for Kansas City. J.C. Escarra will fill in behind the plate and bat ninth.

Royals' Salvador Perez: Idle Saturday
Perez isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

Connor Wong C | BOS
Red Sox's Connor Wong: Taking control of catching gig
Wong went 1-for-2 with a walk and a double in Friday's 1-0 extra-inning win over the Tigers.
Wong recorded his fourth double of the season in the third inning but was stranded there. While the catching depth chart hasn't changed, it's hard to ignore Wong's production is better than that of starter Carlos Narvaez. Vazquez has made seven starts this season and has at least one hit in all seven, as he's now slashing .400/.438/.733 with two home runs, 10 RBI, five runs scored and a 2:7 BB:K across 33 trips to the plate.

Ivan Herrera C | STL
Cardinals' Ivan Herrera: Homers, drives in three Friday
Herrera went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a hit-by-pitch, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 9-4 win over the Astros.
Herrera padded the Cardinals' lead to 9-3 with a two-run shot in the top of the eighth. It was Herrera's first multi-hit game of the season, and he's now homered in two of the past three games after failing to hit a long ball in any of his first 16 contests. Herrera's on-base skills have remained strong this season, and his bat seems to be heating up, as he has recorded at least one hit in six of the last eight games. Herrera is slashing .212/.398/.348 with two homers, 10 RBI, seven runs scored and an 18:10 BB:K across 88 trips to the plate.
