Christian Vazquez C | HOU
Twins' Christian Vazquez: Sitting Thursday
Vazquez will take a seat Thursday versus the Padres.
Vazquez will get a breather after he went 0-for-8 with a walk and three strikeouts while starting the last three games behind the plate. Ryan Jeffers will take over at catcher and bat ninth in the series finale.

Carlos Perez C | HOU
Athletics' Carlos Perez: Homers Wednesday
Perez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Yankees.
Perez got Oakland on the board in the second inning with a solo shot off Jhony Brito. It's the second homer of the year for Perez, his first since April 12. The 32-year-old catcher has hit safely in four straight contests, though the home run was his first extra-base hit in eight games. He is now slashing .327/.390/.481 with six RBI and six runs scored through 59 plate appearances. While Perez's numbers are impressive in a vacuum, he doesn't have much fantasy value while backing up Shea Langeliers.

Matt Thaiss C | BOS
Angels' Matt Thaiss: Playing time likely to increase
Thaiss will start at catcher and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Astros.
Though he was on the bench for Tuesday's 3-1 loss, Thaiss should have a clearer path to seeing the bulk of the starts behind the plate after Chad Wallach (concussion/neck) recently joined Max Stassi (personal/hip) and Logan O'Hoppe (shoulder) on the injured list. Thaiss is hitting .310 with an .829 OPS over 50 plate appearances on the season and could be worth a look in leagues that start two catchers where he may still be available on the waiver wire.

Korey Lee C | CHW
Astros' Korey Lee: Overcomes groin injury
Lee (groin) rejoined the Triple-A Sugar Land lineup Friday and has gone 10-for-17 with a home run, four doubles, six runs and five RBI in his last three games.
Lee missed just a couple days of action last week with a left groin injury before returning to the lineup with a bang over the weekend. The 24-year-old maintains a spot on the 40-man roster, but he's at least fourth on the organizational catching depth chart with all of Martin Maldonado, Yainer Diaz and Cesar Salazar up with the big club at the moment.

Alejandro Kirk C | TOR
Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Gets rest Wednesday
Kirk is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.
With the Blue Jays and Phillies concluding their series Wednesday with a game that begins at 4:05 p.m. ET, Kirk will receive a breather for getaway day after he caught all eight innings of Tuesday's 8-4 loss. Danny Jansen will step in behind the plate, catching for starting pitcher Kevin Gausman.
-
Eric Haase C | SF
Tigers' Eric Haase: Sitting in second straight game
Haase is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
Though he didn't start in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to the Guardians, Haase saw his seven-game hitting streak come to an end when he struck out in a pinch-hitting appearance. He'll remain on the bench again for the series finale, but Haase should continue to play semi-regularly while moving between catcher, left field and designated hitter.

Shea Langeliers C | ATH
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Resting Wednesday
Langeliers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.
Langeliers will receive a breather for the series finale in New York after he caught eight innings and went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run in Tuesday's 10-5 loss. Carlos Perez will check in for Langeliers behind the dish.
-
Jose Trevino C | CIN
Yankees' Jose Trevino: Gets breather Wednesday
Trevino is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
The Yankees are wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game, so Trevino will get a break after catching in each of New York's last three contests. Kyle Higashioka will form a battery with starting pitcher Jhony Brito on Wednesday.

Shea Langeliers C | ATH
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: On base four times Tuesday
Langeliers went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run in a loss to the Yankees on Tuesday.
The young backstop had his most productive game of the season in terms of reaching safely, busting out of a 2-for-20 slump that had encompassed his last six games in the process. Langeliers raised his average and on-base percentage to .227 and .301, respectively, though he's now gone without an extra-base hit in seven straight contests.
