Raleigh went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in an 8-4 win against the White Sox on Monday.

Raleigh went hitless with a pair of strikeouts over his first four at-bats but finished the game with a bang, belting a grand slam with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Mariners a walk-off win. It was the second straight day that the backstop produced a clutch hit -- he knocked a two-run single in the 10th frame Sunday to help Seattle to victory. Raleigh is barely over the Mendoza line with a .206 batting average on the season, but he's tied for second among MLB catchers with 12 homers and is tied for fourth with 39 RBI.

Diaz isn't starting Monday's game against the Giants due to soreness and limited range of motion in his right index finger, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Diaz took a foul tip to his right hand during Sunday's game against the Angels, and he didn't feel healthy enough to start Monday's series opener. However, manager Joe Espada noted Diaz will be available to pinch hit if needed. Victor Caratini draws the start behind the dish and will bat ninth in Diaz's place.

Diaz is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the Giants, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Diaz stayed in Sunday's game versus the Angels after being struck in the right hand by a foul tip, but with Cesar Salazar reportedly being recalled, it's possible the hand is still bothering the Astros' starting catcher. The team should have more on his status shortly. Victor Caratini will start behind the dish Monday and bat ninth against Giants southpaw Kyle Harrison.

The Astros are expected to recall Salazar from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 in Houston reports.

Yainer Diaz was hit in the right hand by a foul tip during Sunday's loss to the Angels. He was able to stay in the game, but Salazar's impending addition to the roster could indicate that Diaz will have to miss some time. The Astros should offer more clarity later Tuesday.

Jansen is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Milwaukee.

It looks to be a routine day off for Jansen, who had started the last two and three of the previous four contests. Alejandro Kirk will do the catching for Jose Berrios on Monday.

Jeffers is out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Rockies.

He and Christian Vazquez have now alternated starts at catcher over the last seven games for the Twins. Jeffers has slowed down considerably in June with just two hits in his first 22 plate appearances, so perhaps the extra rest will help recharge his batteries.

Rutschman is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Tampa Bay.

Rutschman started the first three games of the series at catcher and had been in the lineup for each of the last 10 contests for the Orioles. However, after going 3-for-5 with a grand slam and a career-high six RBI in Sunday's 9-2 win, Rutschman will get a breather Monday as Baltimore goes for the rare four-game sweep. James McCann will pick up the start behind the dish.

Rortvedt is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rortvedt will get a break for the series finale after he caught all nine innings of Sunday's 9-2 loss while going 1-for-4 with a double. Alex Jackson will step in behind the dish Monday.

The White Sox announced that Stassi underwent a season-ending left hip surfacing procedure Friday in New York City.

After missing the entire 2023 season while he was a member of the Angels due to a hip injury in addition to a family medical issue, Stassi will now go another full season without logging any big-league action. The veteran catcher was able to make five rehab appearances at Triple-A Charlotte in April but had been shut down ever since due to a hip injury that apparently wasn't improving after nearly two months of rest. The White Sox hold a $7.5 million team option on Stassi for the 2025 season that the club will almost certainly decline this winter, if he isn't cut loose before then.

Raleigh went 2-for-5 with a two-run single in an extra-inning win over the Royals on Sunday.

Raleigh followed Julio Rodriguez's tie-breaking single in the 10th inning with his own clutch knock, pushing Dylan Moore and Rodriguez across with two more runs that would prove to be critical in the one-run victory. The veteran backstop is hitting just .214 over his last nine games, but he has a trio of two-RBI tallies during that span while hitting a solid .267 with runners in scoring position.
