Christian Vazquez C | HOU
Astros' Christian Vazquez: Absent from lineup
Vazquez is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Dodgers.
Vazquez is at the top of the Astros' catcher depth chart following the injury to Yainer Diaz (oblique), but he'll get some rest during Wednesday's matinee. Cesar Salazar is doing the catching and batting ninth in what will be his season debut with the big club.

Brandon Valenzuela C | TOR
Blue Jays' Brandon Valenzuela: Resting up Wednesday
Valenzuela is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.
After catching eight innings of Tuesday night's 4-3 loss, Valenzuela will be rested for the series finale in Tampa. Tyler Heineman will handle catching duties for the Blue Jays.

Samuel Basallo C | BAL
Orioles' Samuel Basallo: Powers offense in wild win
Basallo went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, a run scored and four RBI in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Marlins.
The 21-year-old rapped an RBI double in the first inning, a two-run single in the third and an RBI triple in the fifth as part of an impressive offensive eruption by the O's. Basallo has four multi-hit performances in his last 10 games, batting a blistering .395 (15-for-38) over that stretch with seven of his 15 hits going for extra bases (four doubles, a triple and two homers), along with four runs and eight RBI.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Angels' Travis d'Arnaud: Sitting Tuesday
D'Arnaud is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the White Sox.
D'Arnaud went 2-for-3 in the series opener against the White Sox on Monday. The catcher will get some rest Tuesday night before a likely start in Wednesday's day game. Sebastian Rivero will start behind the plate and is batting eighth Tuesday.

Yainer Diaz C | HOU
Astros' Yainer Diaz: Officially placed on IL
The Astros placed Diaz (oblique) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
A left oblique strain caused Diaz to be scratched from the lineup ahead of Monday's contest and will now also prevent him from playing for another 10 days. Christian Vazquez will presumably take over as the Astros' primary catcher while Diaz is on the shelf, and Nick Allen (back) will come off the injured list to claim the open roster spot.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Back in lineup at designated hitter
Raleigh (side) will start at designated hitter and bat second in Tuesday's contest versus Atlanta.
Raleigh missed each of the previous three games while dealing with tightness in his right side. He had been set to undergo an MRI, and while the Mariners have not divulged the results of the imaging, Raleigh's presence in Tuesday's lineup suggests he received good news.

Walker Janek C | HOU
Astros' Walker Janek: Lands on Double-A injured list
Double-A Corpus Christi placed Janek on its 7-day injured list Sunday due to an unspecified injury.
Jimmy Price of AstrosFuture.com noted that Janek was pulled early from a game Friday after he came up limping while scoring from second base on a single, so the 23-year-old catcher could be nursing some sort of lower-body injury. Before landing on the shelf, Janek had gotten off to a rough start to the season at Corpus Christi, slashing .135/.179/.216 with one home run and four stolen bases while striking out at a 35.9 percent clip over 78 plate appearances.

David Fry RF | CLE
Guardians' David Fry: Provides early, only offense
Fry served as the designated hitter and went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's 6-2 loss to the Royals.
Fry put Cleveland on the board early with a two-run homer in the second inning, but that's all the team could do against Kansas City pitching. It was Fry's third time going deep in his last six games. He doesn't get nearly the number of opportunities as others on the team, but Fry is second on the Guardians with an .892 OPS over 51 plate appearances.

Yainer Diaz C | HOU
Astros' Yainer Diaz: Will require IL stint
Diaz is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to a left oblique injury, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Diaz was scratched from the starting lineup ahead of Monday's 8-3 loss to the Dodgers due to what had been referred to as a left abdominal injury, but Astros manager Joe Espada clarified after the game that the backstop will miss some time due to an oblique issue. Christian Vazquez can be expected to serve as the primary catcher while Diaz recovers.
