Heim is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins.

Heim is batting .100 (4-for-40) over his past 13 contests and will sit Tuesday after starting Texas' previous two games. Kyle Higashioka will step in behind the plate to catch for righty Tyler Mahle.

Naylor went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Reds.

The home run was Naylor's ninth in 50 games. Naylor, who hit a home run for a second straight game, may be emerging from a slump. He's gone 5-for-7 with three RBI and four runs in those two contests. This mini eruption comes after a stretch in which the catcher had one hit over 26 at-bats.

Kirk went 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and two total RBI in Monday's 5-4, extra-inning win against St. Louis.

Kirk's nine total bases were a season high, and he tied a campaign-best mark with four hits. Among the knocks was an eighth-inning solo homer and a 10th-inning double that plated the winning run. Kirk is slashing a cool .316/.361/.421 on the campaign, and those marks have been buoyed by a hot nine-game stretch during which the backstop is batting .457 (16-for-35) with five extra-base hits, 10 RBI and just three strikeouts.

Triple-A St. Paul placed Winkel on its 7-day injured list Monday due to a right wrist tendon injury.

The injury is poor timing for Winkel, who appeared to be heating up at the dish after delivering home runs in both of his previous two appearances. The 25-year-old is slashing .279/.319/.559 over 72 plate appearances on the season for St. Paul.

O'Hoppe is absent from the lineup for Monday's contest against the Athletics.

It's a routine day off for O'Hoppe, who started at catcher each of the previous two days. Travis d'Arnaud will do the catching and bat fifth for the Angels on Monday.

The Athletics optioned Pereda to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

Pereda is clearing out to make room for Austin Wynns, who was officially added to the active roster Monday. Willie MacIver will share catching duties with Wynns.

Narvaez is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

Narvaez had started at catcher in each of the previous four tilts, so he'll get a breather in Monday's series opener. Connor Wong will do the catching for the Red Sox.

Narvaez went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run during Sunday's 11-7 win over the Yankees.

Narvaez headlined a five-run sixth inning for the Red Sox, plating Rafael Devers and Rob Refsnyder on a go-ahead three-run home run. The catcher has been on fire since mid May, going 24-for-71 (.338) with 14 runs scored and nine RBI in his last 21 games. Narvaez has moved into the cleanup spot lately, filling the four-spot in each of his last seven starts.

Vazquez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Sunday's 6-3 win over Toronto.

Vazquez put Minnesota on the board with a fielder's choice RBI in the second, and he gave the Twins the lead in the fourth with a solo homer off Bowden Francis. It was Vazquez's second home run of the season, and the veteran is slashing .210/.279/.330 with six doubles and nine RBI across 111 plate appearances while serving as the backup catcher to Ryan Jeffers.

Naylor went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-2 win over Houston.

Naylor -- who went 1-for-26 with 12 strikeouts in the nine games prior to Sunday -- put the Guardians on the board in the second inning when he took Brandon Walter deep to right-center field for a 429-foot, two-run home run. It was Naylor's first home run since May 24 against the Tigers, and his eight homers on the season are tied for fifth-most among catchers in the American League.
