Vazquez (shoulder) resumed taking part in baseball activities over the weekend and hopes to return from the 10-day injured list by the end of the season, the Phil Miller of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Vazquez has been on the shelf since Aug. 8 due to a left shoulder infection, which he had surgically removed a couple weeks later. He hopes to return for a final few games of the season so that he can show he's healthy as he heads into free agency this winter.

MacIver went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Angels.

MacIver entered Sunday in an 0-for-10 skid. The homer was his third of the year and his first during his current stint on the big-league roster, which has featured sporadic playing time as backup to Shea Langeliers. MacIver is batting .200 with a .639 OPS, nine RBI, seven runs scored, three stolen bases and five doubles across 87 plate appearances in the majors this season.

O'Hoppe (head) is being evaluated for a concussion following Sunday's 4-3 win over the Athletics, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

O'Hoppe exited the game in the top of the seventh inning after being hit in the head by the backswing of Jacob Wilson. He went 0-for-2 with a walk prior to his departure. Angels interim manager Ray Montgomery said that the catcher is "OK," but the team is likely covering all the bases by having him undergo additional evaluation. O'Hoppe can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

O'Hoppe (head) exited Sunday's contest against the Athletics in the seventh inning, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

O'Hoppe was struck in the head/neck area by the backswing of Jacob Wilson in the top of the seventh inning, and he ultimately left the contest as a result. The catcher was replaced behind the plate by Travis d'Arnaud, and O'Hoppe's status will likely be updated in the near future.

Narvaez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Narvaez will get a chance to rest after he caught the first two games of the series and went 1-for-7 with a double, walk and a run scored. Connor Wong will step in behind the plate Sunday and will form a battery with starting pitcher Brayan Bello.

MacIver will start at catcher and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Angels.

With top backstop Shea Langeliers resting for the day game, MacIver will receive a turn behind the plate. Since being recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Aug. 5, MacIver has gone just 3-for-28 (.107 average) with four RBI, two runs and a stolen base in eight games.

Langeliers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

The Athletics will give Langeliers a breather for the day game after he started at catcher or designated hitter in each of the previous four contests. Willie MacIver will step in behind the dish for Langeliers in the series finale.

Dingler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Dingler will get the Sunday afternoon game off after he had started behind the dish Friday and Saturday. Jake Rogers will handle catching duties for Detroit in the series finale.

Quero is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Quero will get a breather after he had started at either catcher or designated hitter in each of the last four contests. Kyle Teel will be behind the dish Sunday, while Andrew Benintendi serves as Chicago's DH.

Basallo (hand) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

The 20-year-old departed Saturday's game after taking a foul tip off his right hand. X-rays on his hand came back negative, so it appears Basallo won't miss extended time. Alex Jackson will step in behind the dish Sunday.
