Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Likely to go on IL
The Angels are expected to place Rendon (groin) on the 10-day injured list Monday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com relayed Sunday that the Angels informed infielder Livan Soto that he'll be called up from Double-A Rocket City ahead of Monday's game in Baltimore, implying that Rendon will head to the IL in a corresponding move after missing Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Guardians with left groin tightness. Gio Urshela is expected to serve as the Angels' primary third baseman in Rendon's stead, while Soto and Luis Rengifo will likely share time at the keystone.

Jake Burger 1B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Homers in return to lineup
Burger went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Astros.
Burger gave the Sox life after launching a first pitch curveball that just snuck over the left field wall to bring his squad within a run. The 27-year-old now has eight homers in just 81 plate appearances on the year and should find himself in a daily role as long as Eloy Jimenez (abdomen) is out with injury. Burger is now slashing .239/.321/.648 with 16 RBI, 12 runs and a 7:26 BB:K.

Taylor Walls SS | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Smacks grand slam in win
Walls went 3-for-4 with a triple, a homer, four RBI and a steal in Sunday's victory over the Yankees.
Walls filled up the stat sheet Sunday, logging three hits, including a triple and a grand slam, powering the Rays to an 8-7 victory. Walls now has seven homers in 92 at-bats this season, one shy of his career high set in 407 at-bats last year. The 26-year-old infielder is slashing .281/.373/.583 with 22 runs scored, 18 RBI and seven stolen bases through 110 plate appearances while carving out a regular role in Tampa Bay's lineup.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Drives in four runs
Arenado went 2-for-5 with a home run, four RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over Boston.
Arenado brought in two runs with a sixth-inning single before belting a two-run shot to add some insurance runs in the eighth. He went 7-for-14 with three home runs in the three-game sweep over the Red Sox. The veteran slugger raised his season OPS from .620 to .708 during that stretch.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Twins' Kyle Farmer: Strong in win
Farmer went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 16-3 win over the Cubs.
Farmer has hit safely in five straight games since returning from a mouth injury. Sunday marked his first multi-hit effort in that span, as he led the Twins with three hits in the contest. The hot return to action puts the infielder at a .286/.345/.449 slash line with two home runs, eight RBI, 11 runs scored, two doubles and no stolen bases through 55 plate appearances. Farmer has started all five games since his return at third base, including four contests versus right-handed pitchers, so it appears he's closer to maintaining an everyday role than falling back into a platoon with utility man Willi Castro.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Athletics' Jace Peterson: Sitting against lefty
Peterson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Peterson has a .229/.308/.314 slash line and 28.2 percent strikeout rate through 11 games in May and will head to the bench Sunday with southpaw Andrew Heaney pitching for Texas. Aledmys Diaz (hamstring) will start at the hot corner in his return from the injured list.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Goes yard in comeback win
Arenado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Red Sox.
Arenado has homered in consecutive games for the first time this season, and he's now 7-for-17 (.412) over his last four contests. The third baseman's power may be coming around after a fairly quiet start to the year. He's slashing .252/.299/.387 with five homers, 22 RBI, 19 runs scored, a stolen base, four doubles and a triple through 38 games.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Brewers' Brian Anderson: Not starting Sunday
Anderson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.
Anderson started the past nine games and will take a seat Sunday after he posted a .684 OPS during that stretch. Owen Miller will man the hot corner and bat fifth in the series finale versus Kansas City.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Hits in cage Sunday
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters Sunday that Urias (hamstring) is "much improved" and he was able to hit in the batting cages prior to the game against the Pirates, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Urias is currently on the injured list with a hamstring strain he suffered May 8 against the Rays, and while he is expected to miss around two to three weeks, it's a positive development that he's feeling better and able to get swings in. He should be back in the Baltimore lineup by the end of May if there are no setbacks, with a chance for him to start a rehab assignment in the next week or so.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Heads to bench Sunday
Paredes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.
Paredes is 5-for-10 with a double, an RBI and a run through the first three games of the series but will take a seat for Sunday's finale. Taylor Walls will man the hot corner and bat sixth versus New York righty Clarke Schmidt.
