Muncy went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Wednesday's loss against Baltimore.

Muncy crushed a 431-foot homer to center field in the top of the fifth to score Freddie Freeman and bring the Dodgers back within two runs of Baltimore. The third baseman had gone 0-for-13 at the plate over his previous three games coming in and is still batting just .180 in July after batting .111 through all of June. He does, however, have four long balls this month to go along with eight RBI and 10 runs scored.

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Twins.

Suarez homered for the third straight game, and he's now swatted six of his 14 homers this season during July. The third baseman is still slugging just .394 on the year, his lowest mark since his rookie year in 2014, but he's certainly trending in the right direction. He's added 58 RBI, 40 runs scored, a stolen base and 15 doubles while batting .226 through 95 contests.

Hayes (back) resumed baseball activity Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Hayes has played in only one game since June 24, though he took a step forward by running, taking grounders and hitting Wednesday. It's likely that he'll need a rehab assignment, so a return may still be a couple of weeks away.

Candelario went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the Cubs.

Candelario has homered in two of three games since he returned from a minor thumb injury. He's swatted five of his 15 homers this season over 13 contests in July. The infielder is slashing .259/.334/.485 with 46 RBI, 49 runs scored, five stolen bases and 27 doubles through 89 contests. He's on pace for career-best numbers in a majority of the standard fantasy categories.

Davis was held out of Wednesday's contest against Cincinnati due to a stomach bug, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

It's unclear how long Davis will be out for, but the Giants will likely approach the situation on a day-to-day basis. Davis is slashing .191/.269/.298 across 52 plate appearances since the beginning of July.

Prieto is hitting .324 with two home runs, one steal and eight strikeouts in 80 plate appearances since getting promoted to Triple-A Norfolk on June 20.

Hitting for a very high average is nothing new to the 24-year-old Cuban infielder, as he hit .364 for Double-A Bowie this season and hit .340 for High-A Aberdeen in 2022. Prieto has a 21.7 percent hard-hit rate, and most of his six home runs on the season have been wall scrapers, but his 7.7 percent strikeout rate is elite enough for him to project for some sort of role in the big leagues.

Madrigal (hamstring) is scheduled to run the bases Wednesday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

That will be a big step forward in his recovery from the right hamstring strain that sent him to the 10-day injured list July 4. It would appear that Madrigal could be back on the Cubs' active roster as soon as this weekend.

Cabbage is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

With southpaw Carlos Rodon on the hill for the Yankees, the lefty-hitting Cabbage will retreat to the bench, paving the way for Eduardo Escobar to pick up a start at first base. Cabbage, who went 4-for-10 with a pair of doubles and two RBI while starting each of the past three games, should have a fairly clear path to playing time versus right-handed pitching so long as both Anthony Rendon (shin) and Brandon Drury (shoulder) are on the IL.

Rivera is out of the lineup Wednesday versus Atlanta.

Evan Longoria will play third base and bat sixth after Rivera logged three straight starts at the hot corner. Rivera seems to have again gained a leg up on the position, though his overall offensive production remains rather underwhelming for fantasy purposes.

Moustakas is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Yankees.

Eduardo Escobar will cover first base and Luis Rengifo is at third as the Angels take on left-hander Carlos Rodon. The left-handed-hitting Moustakas has slashed just .257/.316/.371 this year versus southpaws.
