Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Crosses plate four times in rout
Muncy went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, a walk, four total runs and two total RBI in a 16-3 victory over Texas on Saturday.
Muncy scored the Dodgers' first run of the game on a David Peralta second-inning double and went on to cross the plate three more times, setting a career-high mark with four total runs. One of those came on a third-inning solo shot that gave Muncy two homers over his past three games. During that span, the third baseman has gone 5-for-13 with four extra-base hits, six runs scored, five RBI and a pair of walks.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Homers in fifth straight game
Riley went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in a loss to the Brewers on Saturday.
All of Atlanta's scoring in the contest came as a result of Riley's three-run blast in the third inning. The third baseman has been on a remarkable run, going deep in five straight contests and compiling six long balls along with 16 RBI during that span. The power surge has pushed Riley to 22 homers (ninth-most in the NL) and 61 RBI (tied for 10th-most in the NL) on the campaign.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Stays hot Saturday
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Athletics.
Bregman provided the Astros' lone run when he took Paul Blackburn deep in the sixth inning. This was Bregman's third straight game with a homer, and he's gone deep four times since the All-Star break. The third baseman is up to a .252/.344/.423 slash line with 16 long balls, 63 RBI, 58 runs scored and three stolen bases through 98 contests. After a sluggish first half, he appears intent on finishing the season well.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Athletics' Jace Peterson: On base three times in win
Peterson went 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Astros.
Peterson's playing time has been a bit sparse since the All-Star break, but he's gone 6-for-17 (.353) with four walks over eight contests in that span. He also picked up his 11th stolen base of the season in Saturday's win. The 33-year-old is at a .218/.310/.327 slash line with six home runs, 27 RBI, 28 runs scored, seven doubles and two triples through 307 plate appearances this season. Playing to mediocre numbers in Oakland won't get him on the fantasy radar, especially when he isn't even holding down a strong-side platoon role.

Zack Gelof CF | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Hits first major-league homer
Gelof went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Astros.
Gelof padded the Athletics' lead in the seventh inning with his first major-league homer, which came in his eighth game. He's done a lot of other things right so far, racking up three doubles, a triple and two stolen bases while working as the primary second baseman since his July 14 debut, though he's also added a 4:9 BB:K. Trimming the strikeout rate will likely be a key to his fantasy usefulness, though his speed is already showing up after he stole 20 bases in 69 games for Triple-A Las Vegas.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Exited with leg stiffness
Arenado was removed from Saturday's loss to the Cubs after fouling a ball off his lower left leg, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
That explains why the Cardinals brought in Brendan Donovan to hit for Arenado in the top of the ninth inning. The star third baseman downplayed the issue after the game, saying his leg just stiffened up a bit during a seventh-inning rain delay. He could be available for Sunday's series finale at Wrigley Field.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Shut down two more weeks
Angels manager Phil Nevin said Saturday that Rendon will be shut down from baseball activities for at least two weeks after an MRI revealed a deep bone bruise in his left shin, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Nevin added that Rendon is dealing with bleeding in the bone, so the veteran third baseman will be rested until at least the first week of August until the team reassesses his condition. Rendon has been on the shelf since July 11 and can safely be ruled out through mid-August, given the buildup process that he'll require following the two-week shutdown period. Mike Moustakas and Eduardo Escobar should continue sharing time at third base for the Halos, though Luis Rengifo could be a factor at the position once second baseman Brandon Drury (shoulder) returns from the injured list.

Taylor Walls SS | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Placed on IL with oblique strain
Walls was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left oblique strain, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The injured occurred during Thursday's loss to the Orioles. No timetable for Walls' return has been established, but it's an injury which typically requires more than a minimum stay on the IL. Isaac Paredes should see a little more playing time with Walls out and Vidal Brujan -- who has taken Walls' spot on the roster -- could also get some starts.

Zack Gelof CF | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: On base thrice in loss
Gelof went 1-for-3 with two walks and a run in a loss to the Astros on Friday.
Gelof worked out of the No. 2 spot in the order for the third time in his first seven games and did a good job getting on base for the heart of the Athletics' lineup. Jordan Diaz's bases-loaded walk in the fifth inning resulted in Gelof crossing the plate with the fourth run of his nascent career. Gelof has gotten on base in six of his first seven contests and has already generated a trio of extra-base hits, although he's still in search of his first home run.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Busy on basepaths Friday
Ramirez went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in Friday's 6-5 win over the Phillies.
All four hits were singles, but Ramirez made the most of his trips around the bases. The veteran third baseman has three multi-hit performances in the last four games, boosting his slash line on the season to .294/.366/.499 with 14 homers, 12 steals, 54 RBI and 61 runs in 93 contests.
