Garcia went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Friday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

Garcia went deep as part of a five-run sixth inning that put the Royals in full control. The third baseman has hit safely in five straight games, adding two steals and four RBI in that span despite going a meager 5-for-22 (.227). Garcia's been held hitless in just three of 14 games in May, so he's still putting together decent at-bats despite not producing big numbers. The 24-year-old is slashing .238/.286/.381 with five homers, 28 RBI, 21 runs scored and 10 steals through 44 contests overall.

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 win over the Twins.

Ramirez's long ball gave the Guardians the lead for good in the eighth inning. It was his 10th homer of the year, five of which he's hit over the last 12 contests -- a span that's also seen him collect 13 RBI and three stolen bases. The third baseman is slashing .249/.301/.463 with 38 RBI, 28 runs scored, seven steals, six doubles and a triple through 44 games this season.

Urshela isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Friday's game against Arizona, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Urshela has gone 0-for-6 since returning from the injured list Tuesday, and he'll get a chance to clear his head Friday. Matt Vierling will fill the open spot at third base and bat fifth.

The Dodgers placed Muncy on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a Grade 1 right oblique strain.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated that Muncy had sustained the strain during batting practice before Thursday's game, and the veteran third baseman will not swing a bat for a few days, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports. Before landing on the IL, Muncy was slashing .223/.323/.475 with nine home runs and 28 RBI over 167 plate appearances.

Adrianza received an injection in his back Thursday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

The injection was issued to relieve back spasms that caused Adrianza to land on the 10-day injured list May 9. Before being placed on the IL, Adrianza was 5-for-26 with one home run and two RBI in eight games.

Ramos was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday by the White Sox due to a left quadriceps strain.

Ramos exited the first game of the White Sox's Tuesday doubleheader due to tightness in his quadricep, and he will now be out for at least another eight days due to the injury. The rookie infielder is slashing .281/.294/.344 through his first 10 big-league games.

Mendick (back) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Mendick was placed on the injured list in early May with back soreness and only needed two rehab starts before being activated. During those two Triple-A games, Mendick went 0-for-8 with two walks and a run scored. He'll replace Braden Shewmake on the big-league roster and could see immediate action at third base with Bryan Ramos also headed to the 10-day IL with a strained left quad.

Riley (side) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against San Diego, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Riley won't be starting for a fourth consecutive game as he deals with inflammation in his left side. Instead, Zack Short will draw another start at the hot corner and bat ninth. Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said that Riley is feeling better but isn't quite ready yet, per David O'Brien of The Athletic. He remains day-to-day.

Lipscomb was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Friday.

Lipscomb will cede his big-league spot to Joey Gallo (shoulder), who was activated from the 10-day IL on Friday. Lipscomb has been the Nationals' everyday third baseman during the last few weeks and owns a .252/.331/.290 slash line with 10 stolen bases on the year. Nick Senzel and Ildemaro Vargas should see plenty of action at third base moving forward.

Hayes (back) will resume baseball activities Monday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

The plan is for Hayes to play catch and field grounders Monday before swinging a bat Tuesday. Hayes landed on the injured list last weekend with a back injury which had been nagging at him for a while, but it sounds like he's feeling better after a little rest. He could make it back before the end of the month if all goes well.
